People think im a nutcase cause i bought a bass that cost probably more than the average hermit rig and hermits would be like lol what a waste of cash when you could play a game at a higher resolution or w/e but meh my bass is my bass i love it and i play it a lot dont see a point in owning a high end computer tbh.

Also i only pay £25 a month for my phone which is like $40 a month for a blackberry which does its job and its functional, and my 360 cost £220 which isnt as much as a new computer and tbh dont need it considering i have a functional laptop for doing what i really need to.

GF2 MX/GTS was not enough for games that required pixel shading (i.e. Deus Ex Invisible War, Thief 3, ect.) and it was horribly slow in next-gen PC games like Far Cry, Doom 3 and H-L2. I know this because I owned one back then. On the PS2, you could play all games written for it without problems. Last gen PS2 games like Gran Turismo 2, Snake Eater, Shadow of Colossus, God of War 2 and Okami looked way better than any GF2 games.

It's simply not true that GF2 was enough for 6 years PC gaming while PS2 did last a whole 7 years of great support.

And yes, X1950 does NOT run most modern PC games. Most modern PC games require atleast a 8800 (DX10) card to run so please, stop with your unreasnoble PC fandom.

You simply CANNOT run modern PC games on just 512 megs of RAM like on the consoles. That is a fact, whether you like it or not.

It was horribly slow in games like Far Cry, Doom 3 and H-L2, but still even the GeForce 2 MX run Far Cry, Doom 3 with equal performance, and graphics just like the console version, let alone the GTS.pretty much all games that pc and ps2 share, were better on the GeForce 2 GTS.

and the ati X1950 still run a lot of modern PC games with around the same graphics and performance of a console

Not my problem you're careless towards the concept of getting a better experience for the same money as your current setup. You play games, you are obviously interested enough in games to join and participate in a forum just for games. We are all nerds to some extent on this site. No one cares about those things? Typical, the only rebuttal you have is denial of the facts. There is a huge website dedicated to mods called ModDB in case you hadn't heard. If no one cared about those things the site would not only be much smaller but it wouldn't be around (no interest = no visitors = no clicks = no revenue = no website). Are you really going to go with the whole head in the sand defense here? LOL Devs focusing on consoles huh? I guess the term multiplat doesn't mean anything to you. Devs are including consoles because they want to make money not because they are magically better.

If you haven't noticed, people with consoles really don't care. We got our PS3/Xbox/Wii to last us a good 5-7 years and thats all that matters, its fun and the graphics are at a level that we are okay with.
