Consoles are superior to the PC on a technical level

Today, the hardware has surpassed the software.

These top of the line cards exist to run games that don't exist yet, why?

Consoles control the game market now in all aspects, from graphics to gameplay.

There are plenty of games that take good advantage of current high end cards,one of them being the upcoming Arma 3 wich not only looks amazing but has a scale no console game even gets close to,not to mention Fortnite,EPIC´s first UE4 game wich is PC only. Also,Rome 2 is already looking absolutely incredible and it´s CA highest budget game ever,way beyond any console capabilities.

Also,Watch Dogs and Star Wars 1313 are all running on high end PC hardware and those will be miles ahead of their console counterparts.

And these are just a few among many examples.

And there are many uses for high end cards in gaming such as 120hz monitors, eyefinity/surround, 3d. Plus, the new Nvidia tech demo brings current high end cards to there knees, and it looks amazing. Or outside gaming uses such as Folding at Home.

Your reasoning fails. a $200 PC card will already run games much better than a console will and there's something called PC exclusives like Total War series and Arma series which already offer things beyond current console experience. Infact, even a sub $100 card will already run games better than a console will.

I did install the New Vision Mod which increases a lot of textures. As well as kenties launcher that allows you to configure some things such as resolution, etc

For mods, i generally dont mind graphics mods, but on first playthroughs i dont mess with the gameplay unless it is something game breaking. So i'll try stock settings first, then see how it goes

everyone is wrong(about Xenos). Xenos is tjhe precursor to the R600 GPU's. Much of Xenos's design was later used in the HD 2xxx series. HOWEVER!!!! Xenos's speed is still very slow despite having a future proof feature set. It just goes to show what matters the most is not the speed, but the feature set of the chip. It may not neccesarily be able to use those effects all the time, but it allows room for compatibility and such.

An Eyefinity setup,a heavily modded game like Crysis 2+MaldoHD,or a high-res monitor(1440-1600p) will give those flops a good workout ;)

After all,it's not like anyone forces you to buy latest and greatest.For 1080p,you don't really need a 680 GTX,or a 7970,and can have a great experience for much cheaper prices...

Except there are plenty of games that push those cards to the limit such as Metro 2033, crysis 1 or 2, Shogun 2, the witcher 2. And eyefinity or 1080p+ just add to that. There is a reason that SLI/crossfire was created, we need MOAR POWER!

add Arma II in there to ( let alone upcoming Arma 3 ) . I really wanna see consoles running arma with a huge draw distance .

Then there are mods. Stalker misery mod i'm quite sure it wouldnt even load on a console ( seeing as it uses up to 4-5gb of Ram )
