These are games that had to be EXPERTLY and very technically coded (moreso than your average PC game) to run on such old hardware and yet the do.

Superior their equivalents for a fraction of the cost.

780 GTX was $599 at launch and the X1900XTX was $650 at launch and they struggle to run any of todays games even at 30 fps, yet the consoles can do it.

PS360's amazing just based off the fact it's 6 year old hardware pulling off Crysis, BF, Gears etc.

If PC's were to remain with 2006 hardware without an upgrade it wouldn't last; let alone would it actually have an acceptable framerate.

If PCs were to remain with 2006 hardware it wouldn't make a difference because games would be built around that hardware.

The "Xenos" was closer to the 1800XT or even more like the 1950pro(lower performance in some areas, but better shader performance than the 1800xt), not the 1900XT, that woulda crushed it.

And the "RSX" is a 'cut down' 7800GT, not even a GTX.

And of course a 7800GTX may have some trouble(espeically the 256mb), it has far fewer shader pipelines than the 360, and desktop cpu's don't function like the Cell. Apples to Radiator comparison.

I've tried some. I might try Rygel's texture pack again. But, I'm satisfied with the Natural Mod and an otherwise, vanilla Crysis. Vanilla Crysis is the closest in colors of real-life jungles I've been to (Colombia and Philippines).

I love Uncharted 2 and plan to buy Uncharted 3. I like how those games look, but not because of technical graphics. I think Crysis still looks better.

I might reinstall Rygel's Texture Mod or some of the others later. Right now though, I'm devoting some quality time to the PS3 (KZ3, UC2, FIFA 11). He He :lol: After a while, I'll get the urge to replay the Crysis games again.

Xenos > X1900XT (unified shader architecture, FP processors coupled with the eDRAM)
7800GTX > RSX (half the memory bandwith, less ROP's)

Besides that, it's actually the fact that exclusive games are coded for one particular hardware set that makes them run so well...superclocked

The video I linked is a 1950pro doing what can't be done by the consoles, and it's 'weaker' than the x1900xt

And you're comparing old ass hardware which is pretty moot. Also you said 'consoles' are suprerior and the "RSX" is clearly cutdown below its 2005 nvidia counterparts.

And since PS3 came out in 2006, and so did the nvidia 8800, which still crushes current gen consoles in all areas...

Between system and GPU memory 2.5 GB...

The 360 doesn't even have 512 for video,and the PS3 has 256,the PS3 with 512MB of memory would ran way better than that,hell i don't even consider that video Uncharted 3 or Gears 3 look like quality.tormentos

That's nearly 1920x1080 vs 428x242, and that only costs 56mb of vram.
