Crackdown 3 Delayed to Spring 2018

Makes sense. The game graphically looked like shovelware shit from last gen. I hope they spend this extra time working on the graphics because that is just not good enough.

Okay all this whole what's exclusive aside, I'll be getting back into Crackdown 3 delay shocking news now.

After the showing from E3 2017, the single player look like rubbished to a degree, even I wasn't impress and delaying Crackdown 3 was a wise move, a bold move as well to fix the game cause it needs it badly. I'll always take a delay game over a broken mess any day so this delay is better for MS then releasing it in a broken mess.

And it should be noted this holiday is really crowded with games anyways, better to release it next year then a holiday.

Difference is Sony actually has games to delay. MS barely has any games to start with. When they delay their already mediocre number of games their fans have nothing but crickets and tumbleweeds to look forward to.

The first Crackdown was fun game, Crackdown 2 wasn't a huge success and wasn't good either.

I am surprise Crackdown 3 was able to get a sequel ever since it reveal 3 years ago. I never understand why they not cancel Crackdown 3 instead and kept Scalebound assuming budget was an issue?

LMAO its time like these, I'm so glad I didn't waste money on a the xb1x and just upgraded my 980ti to a 1080 ti running on a 4.2 I7 with 64gb of DD4 2400Mhz . Makes me happy knowing i'll be running circles around the most poweful paperweight ever created and get to play floptastic library, but I must admit that I Love Forza horizon at 4k Ultra settings :). It feels good to be a PC/PS4/Switch gamer.

Congrats you made the right choice. Buy the systems that actually have games coming out for them and use any extra cash to upgrade your PC. Who needs a gameless DynamicBoneX when PCs play all its "exclusive" games with better graphics and settings.

Yeah that include lying about True 4k and wanting to picture the xbox one X as this beast that was on another league.

Uncharted 4 was unveiled in June 2014 and release in May 2016 so not even 2 full years from first shown to release even with the delay,Quantum Break for example was unveiled in june 2013 when the xbox one and PS4 were not even launched,and came out 1 month before Uncharted 4 almost 3 years from first shown to release.

If they delayed this and release it on the next gen console then I would've been pissed. I'm glad they didn't pull The Last Guardian which was delayed so long it was announced for last gen PS3 but then released on the next gen PS4. No game have ever been delayed that long like that PlayStation game before.

And why are people bringing up the Xbox One X like this game was exclusive to it? I mean when the game comes out, you're able to play it on the regular Xbox Ones. Xbox One X will still enhance games when it releases. Xbox One X is still the most power console but it isn't a next gen console, same as the Pro, so not sure what they're expecting.

Good. More developers should do this. If a game needs more time then give it more time instead of releasing it with issues and putting out several patches shortly after.

As for what the Xbox One X is "launching" with, it is launching with any and all games that are coming out on the Xbox platform whether it be first party or third party.

Don't think it will get cancelled but it certainly needs more time in the oven. Spring might even be too early.

Launch title may not be the best word given its traditional connotations and the Xbox One X's decidedly non traditional status, but you do need to give people a reason to splurge $500 on new hardware, don't you? Crackdown 3 could have been a really good one such 'launch' game inasmuch as the One X can have a launch game, now it is delayed. Microsoft Game Studios is clearly having issues with their game development at the moment, Forza being the lone exception.

Is a multiplatform game on multiple platforms and you don't need an xbox one for it which is the very definition of a multiplatform,hell the windows 7 version of QB with DX11 ran better than the windows 10 store one..lol

Well this news kind of sucks, but if the time makes it a better game that is cool. :) I will have plenty of games to play on my X this holiday season anyway! There are so many kick ass 3rd party games coming out I don't think I will miss it much. We all know those games will look and run better on the X!

My PS4 Pro and my Switch is getting a workout right now with all the games I am playing. Hell my switch with Zelda, Splatoon 2, and Mario Kart is busy. Still have a ton of games to beat on my Pro also. BAH! I honestly do not have enough time to play all of these games and it is driving me MAD!

What a disaster. Game is probably gonna get cancelled or flop really hard when it launches. If you ask me it needs to be delayed a full year to sort its problems out. It looked like straight up trash at E3 despite what the delusional lems here say.

XboneX's launch is looking like a trainwreck right now. Forza 7 won't save it from the pillaging it will get from PS4 and Switch this holiday. How could MS screw up this badly? This is by far the worst year for Xbox exclusives in Xbox history despite Phil's bullshit promises.

State of Decay 2 announced in summer 2016 delayed til 2018 or more. Sea of Thieves has been shown off since 2015.. delayed til 2018 or more. Now Crackdown 3 is delayed. I thought Sony was the only one who delayed games forever and showed them off too early?

Also what games does Xbox have the rest of the year besides Halo 7. The only other ones so far in 2017 are Halo Wars 2 and a handful of indie titles.

The same thing the Pro launched with: the existing game library but with higher res/fps.

Naw, it's fine, I get that lol. And hey, maybe delaying the game is the right thing to do- if it makes for a better game, then credit to Microsoff for doing what was necessary. As for this year... yeah, it's not been the best for MS. Hopefully next year turns out better for them. Sometimes, quiet consolidation is necessary before you can come out swinging, look at how bad NIntendo was last year before they came out guns blazing this year.

I found the Pro launch to be poor. Lacking any showcase games, poorly messaged so that people were confus d about it until after it had launched, and lacking basic 'Pro' functionality.

It has gotten better since, but I didn't care for it at launch.

You can't deny it bro, things aren't looking good for X1. Did you see the NPD for last month? They are doing sub 105K right here in their strongest market with a $250 console. What makes you think they will have a great launch with only Forza and a $500 sticker price? Don't tell me 4K TV owners will make a difference because you know they won't. PS4 Pro's launch was weak despite blockbuster games like UC4 getting Pro patches. I expect XboneX's launch to be a complete trainwreck seeing as they barely have any first party games releasing this year and they have the much cheaper megahits Switch and PS4 to contend with.
