I really doubt that the reason for the delay is to put it up against God of War as competition but to be honest I'm much more interested in Crackdown 3 then I am for the new God of War game. I really enjoyed God of War 1, 2, and 3 but after the third game my interest in the franchise had waned considerably and after playing Ascension I was just further disinterested in it. Looking at this new game just really has done nothing for me.

Many multi-platform games has their release dates around Q4 2017. It's better to move Crackdown 3, Sea of Thieves and State of Decay 2 to H1 2018.
Forza Motorsport 7 and Forza Horizon 3 4K remaster are strong competitors against Project Cars 2 and F1 2017.
SW Battlefront 2 (with single player story) is a very strong competitor and it can out hype Crackdown 3 and State of Decay 2.
Hahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa moving those games to 2018 is a joke when you have NOTHING.
FYI, I have a gaming PC with GTX 1080 Ti and Skylake X 7820X 8C/16T which is capable playing PS3 exclusives like Persona 5. I made sure I selected the correct Core i7 variant with 1 MB L2 cache per CPU core for kickass emulation. Per CPU core, Skylake X has 4 times the L2 cache storage over normal Skylake/Kabylake.
Sony's exclusives are futile against PC master race.
The cost for my PC upgrades.. the tax man pays for it.

Nothing as lean as this year for MS though. And even on PS4 "lean" years they were actually equivalent or surpassed the X1 this gen so that's why the overall lineup of X1 is so pathetic.

Well the difference is Naughty Dog is one of the best devs in the industry. Crackdown 3 is being made by some unheard of dev and has been in development hell for years and looked like complete shit at E3.

I asked about this the other day, and was ignored. I'm not a list-checker on this stuff. Don't care much at the end of the day as long as people have things to play. But I honestly cannot remember when that "standout" year was for the X1 against the competition. At best I feel like there was a stronger AAA (but still weaker overall) year in the beginning - and stronger by, like, 1 or 2 Western games. I don't own an X1, and so my memory could definitely be distorted because I pay more attention to what is coming out on my current platforms. But there have been several users now who just keep repeating this vague assertion that this is somehow the only "winning" year for PS and I just don't see it
