My jaw just dropped.
EDIT: A few screencaps:

Wow :O that trailer was inredible.
Question are you still nomad. Because he sounded a lot differentAnimal-Mother
Nope, you're Alcatraz, a Marine Special Forces trooper, and you get the Nanosuit 2 from a dying man (a scientist?). Other than that, there's not much else I know.
Confirmed... Consolized... :(04dcarraherwipe those tears from your eyes and read some of the latest single player previews. :|
Sandbox gameplay and fantastic graphics remain.

Not at all. If you would have read any preview you would know that every tactical option in Crysis 1 is back. You still have plenty of options to tackle each objective.
Also, some of those enviroments looked quite large to me.
The clip says PS3.[QUOTE="PurpleHaze89"]
That just looks amazing. Gameplay Wise and Graphic Wise. I wonder if that is PC Footage?
heretrix
There is no way that is PS3 footage. If it is, it just blew away every single PS3 game and most PC games to date. The draw distance is much farther than we've seen, it's much more fluid than what we have see, the lighting and effects are far better than what we have seen. Unless there is a major difference between the 360 version and the PS3 version (highly doubtful), that has to be from the PC engine.
Ill eat my own junk if thats the PS3 version. Theres just no way.
Thats definitely the PC version and it looks bad ass.

Is the gameplay similar to Crysis 1 ? is the speed/movement and the nanosuit meter the same? If so label me a happy camper:DIt looked pretty good. I just didnt like the weapon layouts at all. Instead of trying to force a futuristic, sleak, cheezy sci fi design. They should have just reintroduced or expand current weapons in the previous title (FY-71 is a enhanced/modified AK-74 for example, US SCAR) instead of these lame ass "badass" titled made up guns.

One thing weirds me out about the footage and I see this a lot with FPS games, they never seem to get the scale of doorways quite right. They always seem to be a bit too low. I'm noticing it a bit more because I'm in the area (Grand Central Station) nearly every day..It's a small thing but when I see it I always go :question:pretty good, but not jaw-dropping as this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=shZzYkpl5Nk if someone could make a mod on cry engine 3 and be even better than that, I'd REALLY be amazed :)Wisely321
Here's the difference. The extreme quality mod requires a really beefy PC and doesn't fit the art-styIe that Cryteck is going for at all.
Remember, Crytech has to make this game so it is playable at launch. They don't want a repeat of Crysis where very few PCs could play it at max.So they probably won't absolutely max out the engine on the PC so only people with the absolute latest hardware can play it.
From what I am looking at, it looks better than Crysis in terms of lighting and effects. While I will need to actually get into the game world to see the environments. The new location is going to offer up a whole new set of awesome views. While the levels won't have the scale, I think they will have far more detail.
Crysis was very smart in reusing objects. A world is actually populated with like 2-3 kinds of trees and 3-5 kinds of shurbs and bushes. The they copy and pasted them, rotating them at different angles, across the entire game world. These worlds look like they have tons more obejcts and details than Crysis.

Yes, it has, the level design, gameplay mechanics have to be suited for consoles and their controllers.... Now the game is using 3rd person cinematics unlike the 1st, sliding and shooting come on...., The tactical options have been nerfed too, for the consoles, they cant switch modes on the fly so they made presets that combines modes.... Dont get fooled about the large areas which they are not, now the game is streamed based and linear. I was looking forward to the game but every new video or images are underwelming.pretty good, but not jaw-dropping as this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=shZzYkpl5Nk if someone could make a mod on cry engine 3 and be even better than that, I'd REALLY be amazed :)Wisely321
Wait, what? You can actually play the entire game with a visual mod like that? Thats ridiculous :O

On the 360 they streamlined the controls a bit, but they still got every feature that the first nano-suit had into it without the selection wheel. It's kind of crazy. I was really impressed. They actually added features to the suit rather than taken them away.
Of course they are going to show more action in a trailer, but I can believe that there will be a fair amount of tactics available. I also think this game will have more action in general because it's not a full fledged invasion, not some special ops mission. Basically the crap has hit the fan, so expect more set piece battles than the first.

Because in the normal game it seems like you get cut down in seconds even with the armor mode active. It's like the least effective armor enhancement I've ever seen.

Yeah the Cry Engine is extremely flexible. However you need a very beefy computer to run at that quality. Also there are just a lot of HDR and camera filters and effects going on in that to make it look extremely gritty. I guarantee you can do the exact same with Crysis 2 once we get our hands on the engine.

I could care less about the graphics downgrade/upgrade etc.. If the gameplay stays intact..that's all I need really because there arent many FPS that play like CrysisConfirmed... Consolized... :(04dcarraherWhere are you getting that from? Looks like they took the suit powers from Crysis 1 and make them more streamlined with more options like the sliding for instance. Then added in a ton more epic moments since Crysis didn't really have any big wow moments except for the graphics and maybe the final boss.

not really, It's mostly the custom level Amazonia River that makes it look awesome. I played the level w/o the EQM and it looks nearly identical.[QUOTE="04dcarraher"]Confirmed... In the 360 beta, I found it easier to string the suit powers together into combos. Really made the game interesting to play.
Well it is a NIN song. I cant think of the name though.[QUOTE="Lto_thaG"]
That was pretty cool.
Also,I recognised the song.Where is it from?Killfox
It's from the movie 300. Did NIN compoise that score?
Anyway, that music makes the trailer that much more EPIC :D

How does I getz dis Beta? :)
consider me amused. seriously, seems like a vast improvement gameplay-wise over the first game. it finally seems like you have some use for the other suit modes, and it looks like you can go rambo-styIe every now and then. which is a big plus for me :PBrunoBRSI used every single suit mode in Crysis.. this looks pretty much the same to me :P

It was a network, stress-test beta offered a few weeks ago. It didn't really show much about the graphics and was only a single weekend long.
The online was much improved over Crysis but it was pretty much CoD, which was a bit disheartening at first, but then I realized how crappy Crysis's online was so anything is pretty much an improvement.

if it didn't how anything of the grapix its possible that this is the console version (I want the PC version to asplode my mind. also games look worse in MP this was definetly SP, Also if you pause at vaious moments there are some ...well not super impressive parts like when he kicked the car if you pause it as he gets close the texture is undetailed at all. ust some dull shine. either way it has moved up to my 2nd most anticpated title of 2011. o its :the witcher 2, Crysis2, Forza 4, Resistance 3, Gears 3 and then KZ3. if it the console version then Dayyyuuuum. if its not then wow. Please Log In to post.
