[QUOTE="tagyhag"][QUOTE="johny300"]Don't care i just want the ps3 version to be on par with the 360 version or i'm getting the pc version.johny300If you could get the PC version, why not get that? I like the controller better lol. crysis and crysis warhead support the 360 controller.
So basically, all they did was just combine strength and speed?
That's ok with me, ever since Crysis 1 I thought speed and strength shouldn't be separate powers. Realistically speaking, I mean. The strength power increases muscle performance, and that's exactly what you need for extra speed, so it didn't make sense for them to be two separate powers.
If this is all consoles do to Crysis, then all is good.
Okay. Crytek sold out. Is that better? I blame EA lol..not Crytek or the Consoles... Ea has nothing to do with it they are only publisher[QUOTE="DarkLink77"][QUOTE="15strong"]

I will proceed to blame the consoles, not the developers.FIipModeI blame reviewers and the complainers. The recurring complaint (though whether it was valid is another story) for both Crysis and Warhead were "buuuuut it's such a big empty world! I don't see an enemy every four seconds! It's just aimless wandering!!!" So, Crytek/EA paid attention and said "ok, the open world was too open for you? Boom. Linear corridors. Have fun."
You mean like the Cell processor? Streamlining means....removing tactical elements and then "streamlining" all the open world elements out of the game? Make your fanboyism more transparent, please. Crysis got a 9.5 and won game of the year on Gamespot, and that's because literally because of the open world and the powers allowing for on the fly tactical decisions that made the gamespot editor "feel like a bad***." They're "streamlining" out the thing that netted them a game of the year award. Why? Because of opinions like yours. Stop defending developers making everything into a mindless Call of Duty corridor shooter, please.Really? your complaing about getting a better suit? maybe pc gamers need to learn what streamlining is, because clearly they have no clue, seem to think technology just gets more bloated and complex.

[QUOTE="musicalmac"]What technical aspect of a console do people use to defend the argument that it's the PS3/360's fault for this? PAL360
Apparently the fact it went from 5 powers to 2 :|
1. There were only ever 4 powers. They're still there. Just organized differently. Tap the jump button to jump, hold the jump button to power jump.
2. Everything still takes up energy when you use it.
3. Real-time weapon customization still in, this time with animations for putting on scopes/silencers/ammo/any other attachments. There is also real-time nanosuit customization.

Yes, I'm well aware of the whole 5 to 2 powers thing. Why are consoles preventing the inclusion of all 5 powers? Technically speaking, there is only one person I know who could give me an answer I'd really take seriously. Everyone else is just speculating. Just like you.[QUOTE="musicalmac"]What technical aspect of a console do people use to defend the argument that it's the PS3/360's fault for this? PAL360

All the powers are still there, they just mapped them so you don't have to use the stupid wheel to access me. If anyone tells me that Crysis was a perfectly balanced game with its powers, they are simply wrong.

I just find ridiculous how some ppl here think that the number of powers went down because of console´s limited power! Im probably the last guy you should take seriously in a technical debate but im pretty sure that the console limitation has nothing to do with this.
If an original game on PC, there is no reason to imagine its sequel would contain less content and be missing things for its sequel. Has this ever happened from PC exclusive to its sequel? I doubt it. Dragon Age had certain properties, as it was being built for PC, it was too late to change the original too much by the time it went to consoles, so they do that for the sequel instead. Deus Ex, another good example. Is there any way to prove the consoles are to blame for any of this? Probably somewhat, but not directly. That said, its like saying "how do you know fox news is lying?" its just such a fact of life that it seems crazy to argue it. 110millionSo which is it? More or less content? Nonsense and speculation or thoughtful insight? (And naive assumption about news networks is naive)
Oh I see. I misinterpreted your post, my apologies. It seems we may be on the same (or at least a similar) page.Im not speculating. Indeed, no problem mac.

Of course when a multiplat pc game gets narrowed down because of design choices they were making before the console versions even existed then its consolization, then a pc exclusive gets narrowed down because of design choices then its just smart and good design. So which is it? More or less content? Nonsense and speculation or thoughtful insight? (And naive assumption about news networks is naive)musicalmacI can't think of a case where a game going to console led it to have as much or more content than a PC version, it may be mis-correlation to assume consoles caused it, but I would take my chances with a 100% fact rate. I mean I'm sure there is some game at some point that I don't know of or isn't coming to mind, but I doubt it would have been in this generation.
I say this while spending about 50% or more of my gaming time on consoles, I just don't believe the people who think otherwise have done a ton of PC gaming over the past decade or so.

I got nothing otherwise. :(
Sacrificing stuff because of the PS3 and 360 again. Haha.Blixxedyeah because the ps3 and xbox couldnt run powers
Sacrificing stuff because of the PS3 and 360 again. Haha.BlixxedYup, weapon wheel style interfaces are completely impossible on consoles...
So they streamlined the powers to make them easier to use and thats because of consoles? Was Warhead being streamlined because of the Wii?alextherussiandude just stop it with the "IT HAPPENS BECAUSE OF TEH CONSOLES" seriously, just stop it
