Crysis 2 will probably be release in 2010, and I don't think Crytek likes to port games, and of couse by 2011 the GPU in a console can beat a GPU that is release in 2007

I think we could realistically see Crysis 2 in 2009. It took so long between Far Cry and Crysis because they were building Cryengine 2. But I don't think they'll make any drastic changes to an engine that's already so advanced and powerful between Crysis 1 and 2, so it should shorten the time considerably. I could be wrong, but we'll see.

I would. The rocks at the bottom show pixelation, and the one tree has a noticable glitch from the reallife scenary.

PC games typically try to look like life, with its infinite variety and appeal, while Japanese console games try to look like CG anime. And end up all looking the same.

Yep his profile proves it he's just a depressed sony fanboy, sad that all the games on his system are flopping hard, if Uncharted is what you call ****then I'm glad Crysis is missing it :lol: as I find Disneys ugly cartoon ****disgusting and lets get one thing straight, they went with a cartoon look for Uncharted because they knew the game would look like freaking crap if they went for a real look.

Console fanboys have to be the only group of creatures in the world that can bash some of the most outstanding virtual envronments in the world and bash them for looking to realistic when they are really just depressed that their overrated flopping console can't do it. Kill Zone 2 has some art ****to it to :? they should call it slit wrist ally!

Those pictures are fabricated, I'd say. There possibly can't be any computer in the whole world that can run that in smooth frame rate in hectic action, the ordinary Crysis requirements are insane. I'd say there are at least 4-5 years before we can see that kind of graphics and actually be able to play it.HummaKavula

sorry, that's not even the highest settings, and it's already playable at that visual fidelity on a sub-$1200 PC... dual-8800gt rocks Crysis. Single cards will be able to do it quite well once the 9-series comes out in three to six months for less money than a typical console.

PC has always been graphics king, and always will be - the fixed GPU cannot reasonably be expected to compete in either price or performance.

Oh and btw, those screens are just ****** incredible, I could swear that Psycho's face was real.

no joke, my setup is similar to yours and i've benchmarked about 6 times, average is 35, high end is 55, lowest was 25. after the latest nvidia drivers Crysis performs WAY better -- and we haven't even seen the first patch yet :D

how about we go by people who have used the config files to take it up to Ultra-High levels, reaching that level of graphics. They get 25 FPS Average. It's playable because of the nice motion blur.
