Well actually they are perfectly justified saying Gears or COD4 look better. Crysis would look and run like moldy creamed corn on my PC, and on many people's PC. And a single pretty game isn't convincing enough to shell out for PC upgrades.

Due to better optimizing, the better pics run with lower system specs. The latest E3 demo was run on E6600 @2.4GHz, GeForce 8800 GTX, 4GB of RAM (they just wanted more RAM, only 2 GB was being used). It was also running at 2580*1600 resolution like most of their demos and still averaging 60 FPS. That was on Ultra High settings.

It looks good, but I hope it doesn't failin the gameplay dept. Sometimes devs get all caught up in how great they can make a game look, while making gameplay more of an afterthought.farrell2k

Did Far Cry fall in the gameplay department? No... infact, it was among the best in the gameplay department. Crysis will be a more refined version of Far Cry gameplay wise.

Oh darn. Now i'm going to waste 3000 dollars on upgrading the graphics on my computer so I can play one computer game that doesn't appeal to me so I can go "oh look realistic grass. yay god." We don't spend $3000 for one game. Based off your logic, why should I spend $499 on the X360 (CANADIAN) for just Mass Effect?

Because you can play bioshock, you can play starcraft 2, you can play ut3, you can play fallout 3, you can play cod4, you can play hl2 series, you can play WoW even, and on and on and on...a good gaming pc capable of running crysis well will last you quite a few years and will perform better than a console. Plus it's damn fun to buy your parts and create your pc so that it's a mean gaming machine, better than everyone elses. And who gives a crap about exclusives, it has more games period than any other console. You buy a gaming pc, you get the best of all worlds.

Yes you did. I also note that you just edited it to make it seem like you are focusing on gameplay as well. Nice. In your original post, it seems there were no videos, just screenshots. Therefore, my comment still stands and you presented your view poorly.

Don't get me wrong, I think the game will be great. I just hate when people try to use only graphics to own every other console.

Supporting any systems right now is futile. The only thing weknow is that PC is getting most of the HD games from both console...

DMC4 is comming, and since capcom is using Valve Steam to promote their games, it's easy to see RE5 comming to PC as well. If we could only MGS4, Mass Effect and GTA 4, there will be no needs to even get a PS3 or a 360.

Also, from the back ground of Bioware and Rockstar, GTA 4 and Mass Effect will see a PC iteration.

I only have a PS3 right now but im big on PC's too and when i get a job for a while i'll probably end up building my own PC so i can play this game

oh and the guy who said why dish out so much for 1 game, its not 1 game because people who know how to download games can get a bunch of 360 PC ones for free, not playable online obviously but singleplayer atleast, and most multiplatform stuff are released on PC with better graphics

From Crytek words, you will only need a single 8800 GTX to run everything in max. If that's true, we could stick with our GTX for 5 years minimum.

us 'hermits' are still playing and enjoying games like HL:2 and BF:2 years after release. Show me a game on console that doesn't die after a few months (besides halo 2 and gears of war)

If I only had a Wii, i would probably be missing out alot.

More like Pc are geting titles from consoles that become multiplates titles. As in Halo and Gears and war... and the list is never ending. All of the greatest titles go to PC.

This thread it just annoying. It sounds like one of those annoying threads about Halo or something. There are many, MANY other great games coming out too. Crysis is one of my most anticipated though.trix5817

Actually, it's a well known fact that Crysis is the only game that PC's can run. Your just imagining playing other PC games and all of the new PC titles coming out in 07/08 are fake.

Yep. Don't forget World in Conflict, CoH:Opposing Fronts, and SupCom:Forged Alliance. And the good games just keep coming in 2008 also.
