True, the PC owning consoles power-wise is a given. Although the PS3 owning the 360 power-wise is a given too, it is just that lemmings refuse to acknowledge it.

You must only have an inferior 360. Must be the reason why all the sudden so called hermits come to these threads and say such nonsensical things. Besides when some site does a comparison the pc version will be touted as superior, but when watched on video will look just the the PS3 version. Get over it, the console versions will look as good as the pc version, might have other bells and whistles but you would never know unless it was ran by digital foundry.

Ahh I see how it is. When the 360 is superior to the PS3, it's a fact that should be accepted at face value and shared with the world, and when the PS3 is the victor, we fall back on the mighty PC with a smear meant to distract and confuse. Now that I know this I think I have a chance of surviving this crazy place! Thanks AAllx blah blah!

How many times do you need to hear that multiplats are not a measure of a consoles power or potential WHATSOEVER before it sinks in? Exclusives show what a console is capable of when you develop for JUST THAT CONSOLE. Multiplats show what happens when you design a game on one platform and port it over, and have half the time and resources dedicated to one platform vs. another. This is how the games industry works. Money talks, and if the PS3 is going to sell half the copies of the 360, they put half the time into it. Them's the breaks.

actually the PS3 version does look better. hopefully soon it comes out so you can see just how bad the pop ins and framerates are on the 360 version. Blow up a tree and the 360 version crawls at 10 fps. Its like watching the tree fall in slow mo. There are other things too, but that will be for a later discussion.

So...where does he say it runs better on ps3? He said the ps3 architecture was more complex and harder to work with than the 360 so usually its the lowest common denominator. But they put in the coding effort to get the engine working "at a top level" on the ps3. Case of hearing what you want?

You base this off what exactly? We have screenshot comparisons from the first HD trailer and they're in favor of Playstation 3. We also have the explicit word of Crytek. Or we could take fanboy presumptions.

Case of hearing what you want?"" looks to me as someone else is hearing things that aren't there crytek said no such thing as which version was better, just that they had to work harder to get it to work at all on the ps3 version, OH and i think you'd be pissed off at the TC since he's saying quite alot in this thread the ps3 version will be equal with the PC version.

Off of a extened tech demo that they did at GDC. The 360 looks much better with much better lighting. I'd post pictures (off screen) but I can't look up old post for some reason...

i listened to that part 3 or 4 times and thats what i got out of it. i think hes basically saying it wont have the same problems as the Unreal engine when it comes to multiplats. unless he was saying the PS3 version would be superior to the PC version. note that he said PC and 360 every time. not just 360. and to be honest sometimes it was hard to understand him because of his accent.

Who's pretending to be a PC gamer? What I mean is, the PC is just as relevant n any conversation as the Wii/PS3/360 and on top of that, this is an engine for PS3/360/PC. So therefore, it's relevant.

Ok, sorry, i was using 'you guys' to refer to PS3 or 360 owners. It's just silly to me to bother comparing when the differences are so insignificant. Like when DMC4 came out and GT put up a comparison vid, the most noticeable difference was the saturation, and even that was small.

Ah I see how it is. When the 360 gets a game the PS3 doesn't have yet it's on the PC the argument that it is multiplat comes up.

You base this off what exactly? We have screenshot comparisons from the first HD trailer and they're in favor of Playstation 3. We also have the explicit word of Crytek. Or we could take fanboy presumptions.
