You do know that the Mario Galaxy games are the two highest rated games in history right? Number 1 and 2 on metacritic
Yeah, they are the highest rated games in history by REVIEWERS but the LOWEST RATED by Consumers, who truely count.
Would love to see some statistic on how many people actually beat these games =]

You act is if those sales are good, for a high rated game on the most owned platform of 2 gen ago (the Wii), those sales are pathetic.
Halo 3, CoD 4-Black Ops 2, and GTA all sold way more than that individual platform wise.
Come on Nintendo fanboys, buy games for a change =]
Maybe they'll pull out all the stops and reveal a shitload of third party games no-one expected as well as all their first party gems, such as GTAV (god i hope so!)

A reveal of this magnitude would have the entire gaming community eating their words once again. It would also entice other big developers to hop on the bandwagon.
They need to do something, fast. Because many gamers have already made up their minds about the console, even if it is a bit premature.hanman9
That's no turnaround scenario. It will help, but it will need to be bigger than a multiplat (even of this magnitude) to actually be very effective.
Whoever thinks they will announce a slew of 3rd party games is living in lala land. The 3rd party hookers go to the wallets with the greatest common denominator.
I just expect some footage of a few future 1st party releases. And that is also fine.
If they announce something for indi support I'll bounce for joy.
We all knew E3 was going to be where Nintendo would make its last stand with the Wii U and explain to us just why we need to pay it any attention. Apparently what is being planned is bigger than we might have thought, though.
There are still some issues with the handheld market, of course, from the fairly poor third-party support to the questions hanging over Sony's PS Vita. But Nintendo has once again proven that it understands its own market much better than the doubters have.
Which brings me to the Wii U. Regulars at CVG might be aware that I talk down the console's chances in the most definitive language possible whenever asked. Well, from the things I'm hearing, there's a chance I'll soon be added to the reject bin of crazy talking twitter twonks pretty soon.
Hopefully, if we obtain further details from our sources, we'll be in a position to explain more to you soon. But, for now, put it this way: In the past two years there have been moments of disquiet regarding the 3DS and - like an instant magic trick - Nintendo has put an end to this with sudden reveals of significant games that went on to become star performers at Christmas.CVG
CVG is not the only source talking about the Wii U's E3. Emily Rodgers, who writes for well known Nintendo insider website NotEnoughShaders (NES), had a lot to say:
I believe E3 will be a very good E3 for Wii U. Thankfully its only 1 and a half months away.Emily Rodgers Twitter
Here's a hint without giving anything away. There may come a time in the future when owning both a Wii U and 3DS will become beneficial.Emily Rodgers Twitter

What is Nintendo planning?
Let me guess: More mario, zelda and metroid.
If Nintendo is unable or unwilling to make games that are mature like Gears of War, I think they should drop out of the hardware business and go 100% 3rd party. I can't wait to receive royalties for every Nintendo game sold.
you forgot 9. Mario and 10. MarioMy guess:
- Mario
- Mario
- Mario
- Zelda
- Mario
- Kirby
- Price drop
- System Update

Can't flop as hard as God of War.

They better.Â
Honestly, if they DON'T hit it out of the park then it will be a disaster. Nintendo has sucked the entire excitement and energy out of this console by not caring and doing the bare minimum possible. Its been out for months and its best feature is a web browser.
They have put them selves is such a poor position that anything short of an amazing showing at e3 will be doom for this console. Seriously. No more screwing around nintendo.. No more thinking "whatever, we don't have to really show anything or hype anything or focus at ALL on the console we just released. But heres a bunch of cool handheld announcements!"
Â
So tired of it. IMPRESS ME NINTENDO. They've been putting off a "big e3 showing" for about 4 years now.Â

Could they be revealing or hinting at Smash Bros by chance? Â Cross platform play with 3DS or something? Â Not that it would be releasing this Christmas mind you but..
I can only imagine it would be the normal 1st party heavy hitters, which only slightly interest me. Â I'd like to see them revitalize a franchise like Metroid or Star Fox or even F-Zero with this conference.
[QUOTE="Quad4Life"]It's probably Mario Galaxy U or something to make people like Charizard get wet somewhere, nomsayin? Mario Galaxy U,sequel to the bests games of last gen. Yeah but it's another Mario game. Nintendo should try to make a new IP, having Monolith and other devs of which they paid for 1st party exclusivity doesn't count. We want to see Nintendo's in house studio design something new that will catch our interest and have us hyped.[QUOTE="ultimate-k"]

It's probably Mario Galaxy U or something to make people like Charizard get wet somewhere, nomsayin?I really hope not. Galaxy only needed one game, a SMG2 wasn't even necessary (not to mention, didn't really feel like a sequel, had more in common with expansion packs in vain of Starcraft: Brood War, I felt like they should have called it SMG: The Lost Levels. A great expansion pack mind you, but still)[QUOTE="ultimate-k"]

Well, Emily Rodger's hint may indicate Wii U 3DS connectivity. Perhaps use the 3DS as a sort of "gamepad" and play Wii U games in 3D? ... of course I don't think people would be talking it up so much if it were just this.Meinhard1Any 3DS connectivity with Wii U would be garbage. For one, 3DS lacks a second analog stick as well as several buttons the Wii U has. It also doesn't have the rear touch of the Vita to make up for those lack of buttons. It certainly isn't going to compete with the PS4/Vita remote play stuff if that were to happen. So yeah, I'd say there's zero chance of that happening. It's just not possible.

I wish when it came to Nintendo "Something big" wasnt immediately associated with Mario or Zelda. They need to change things up a bit.
It's obvious that they're talking about the big Smash Bros. Premire.
Nintendo is going to hype that train up!
