[QUOTE="Quad4Life"][QUOTE="VendettaRed07"]Yeah, they are the highest rated games in history by REVIWERS but the LOWEST RATED by Consumers, who truely count. Mario Galaxy sold over 9 million copies and SMG2 sold over 6 million. What was your point again? You do know that the Mario Galaxy games are the two highest rated games in history right? Number 1 and 2 on metacritic
bobbetybob
I thought Mario was supposed sell 20 million? 6 million is only slightly better than Uncharted or Gears(at its peak).

2D Mario sells better than 3D Mario; 3D Mario gets people interested in the systems but 2D Mario has the longer legs.Â
New Super Mario Bros. sold 30 Million on the DS
New Super Mario Bros. Wii sold 26.26 Million as of March of 2012
New Super Mario Bros. 2 sold 5.96 Million as of January 2013 on the 3DS
New Super Mario Bros. U sold more than 2 Million so far.
The sales figures of each game should be released soon since Nintendo's fiscal year ended on March 31st.
I remember that rumor of Banjo Kazooie being developed by Retro Studios and Nintendo trying to purchase the IP from Microsoft.I reckon Pokemon with 3DS connectivity.
Â
I would much rather Metroid and a new Star Fox :D Oh and somehow Banjo Kazooie!!!!!!!

Which one sold more?
Flops aren't determined by score. Sales do not indicate quality. Cry more!Exactly.
Just cause a game gets 9's showered on it doesnt mean it will sell.
Just because CoD is the top-seller every bloody year doesnt mean it is any less the same regurgitated thing.
On topic- Surprise me Nintendo, please surprise me. I really want Wii U to succeed. You got the 3DS going strong, now time for your home system.
[Quote="Emily Rodgers Twitter"]Here's a hint without giving anything away. There may come a time in the future when owning both a Wii U and 3DS will become beneficial.charizard1605
This doesn't suggest something I would have any use for, or something that would make me want a Wii U if I didn't already own one, for that matter.
There's no E3 announcement that's going to magically save the Wii U. What they need is a combination of games, and the spectacular failure of MS or Sony. Much like the circumstances that saved the 3DS.

If you're talking about E3 conferences MS and Sony won't fail, but if you're talking about the launch their is a chance of that happening and their are multiple factors that can influence that like the price of those two, when they are released and etc.
I wonder what they are "hearing" from "sources". Nobody has access to the Nintendo vault, so this has to be related to 3rd parties.
And we all know E3 is going to be huge based on the confirmed games. Smash, Mario Kart and EAD Tokyo's 3D Mario have been confirmed so that automatically makes this E3 big. To make it huge, all they need to do is show new media of already announced games.Â
You don't need CVG to tell you this.Â

Maybe she meant that Wii U will eventually become worth owning due to the upcoming lineup of software, even if you have the (amazing) 3DS. Not some crazy Wii U / 3DS connectivity feature.
Then what's the point of the tablet controller? What could they use the 3DS for that the tablet controller can't do?Â[Quote="Emily Rodgers Twitter"]Here's a hint without giving anything away. There may come a time in the future when owning both a Wii U and 3DS will become beneficial.charizard1605

Yeah I meant that the 720 or the PS4 would have to be poop for the Wii U to have an opportunity to get back up there.
Don't tell I told ya but like the ram upgrade for N64, Wii U ram upgrade incomming.... 16 gigs of GDDR5 baby !! :P

Sorry, but that's stupid.  Seriously, GTA is a third party game.  Any of their games could appear on any system.  Zelda? Not so much
It really doesn't matter because Rockstar will NEVER port a GTA on a nintendo console. Deal with it. It's a third party game Nintendo will never have. They always laugh at Smash. They laugh at that series more than Mortal Kombat and Dragon Ball Z. That's how bad Smash has it with the FGC.[QUOTE="nintendoboy16"]

I honestly think the FGC will laugh Melee right out of the building at EVO this year.
DJ-Lafleur
TBH, I think a large amount of top players in the FGC actually have nothing against Smash or its competitive community (Melee's atleast). Alot of the "laughing" probably comes from the more scrubby members/trolls of the FGC I believe.
No, even pros don't like it. Justin Wong (who last I checked, was pro Street Fighter player) didn't have any kind words to say on it.[QUOTE="GunSmith1_basic"]

Anyway, I am just hoping he is wrong; not saying he is or will be. And did either side say they had an issue there? I know Nintendo dropped the game, just don't know if Rockstar or Nintendo still care. Remember, Rockstar North did oversee production of Manhunt 2 and that was released on the Wii. So it's not like rockstar never makes games for Nintendo. They even released Space Station Silicon Valley after Body Harvest. Didn't stop them there. Still doubt it.[QUOTE="TheWalkingGhost"][QUOTE="lordlors"] It really doesn't matter because Rockstar will NEVER port a GTA on a nintendo console. Deal with it. That game was either Fusion or Other M.

Not going to argue with you're facts.
All eyes are on PS4 and 720 and Developers showing off Next Gen games at E3.

Eyes = mainstream media. You can have that, I don't visit news sites only forums and youtube channels. They are catering to their audiences and I'm not one of them so no complaints here.
Next Gen games = westernized crap
From my PoV it'll be interesting watching their conferences for things like business strategy, but except for MGS5 (which I'll play on PC) there is nothing for me. Possibly a Mirror's Edge 2, or a Valve surprise? Exciting, but again, PC.Â
However maybe I should stop complaining. I've got more games than time to play. But it's annoying to see franchises like Castlevania I have been following for 2 decades go down the drain.

Extreme but sort of true. There's still good stuff on the mainstream systems--Playstation and Xbox--but soooooo many companies are changing directions and/or utilizing dlc to rape the consumer. It's odd that the Nintendo brand is likely going to become the core console; in the sense that it probably won't be advertized to death on websites and forums, and let the gameplay speak for itself. People that are truly enthusiastic about games will seak it out.[QUOTE="SuperFlakeman"][QUOTE="g0ddyX"]

Here we have a company that was perfectly capable in investing in a real tech savvy console coming off the wii, but instead attempted to play some kind of middle ground. If Nintendo released a console that was say, on a ps2 level in comparison to xbox(Xbox being ps4/720) they'd likely grab the attention of more people. Yes people buy consoles for games, but look back at any launch and you'll find a few good titles in a sea of mediocre graphic showcases. In effect, they could have changed the industry for the better. Had more people adopted wiiu out the gate, the gaming community would see how dlc is not really necessary. Bottom line is 3rd parties wanted wiiu to fail, given the dlc situation with Sony and ms wanting to take things even further. Justin Wong (who last I checked, was pro Street Fighter player) didn't have any kind words to say on it.Well, he is one guy.I know there was one guy who was in the FGC was pretty relevant making a statement about how he respected the SMash community and talked about how they had great spirit and were very nice or something. I'd love to find it but sadly In wouldn't know where to look for it now. Mr. Wizard who organizes tourmnaments for Evo Seemed not to be against Smash at all and even went on SMashboards to discuss the ruleset and was pretty cooperative. he seemed pretty positive about the whole thing too; I talked about how the smash community was great back before 2008.
I don't think it is so one-sided on the FGC's feelings toward Smash. There is alot of hate towards it, though it could very well be a case of the haters being more vocal, as it is with many things.Â
it's the sheer fact Wii U bring nothing new to the table except adding an extra screen, which they already have done with the DS/3DS and this type of thing will be common place on the next xbox and ps4 if they want it, there nothing new, all they've done is brought out a console which is on par with ps3/360 at the end of the gen, when everyone else is ready to move on, unlike the Wii with it's dated graphics had the whole edge of the Wii mote, for me nothing is going to save it, it's to late the hype is already on ps4, the hypes growing because of nothing coming from microsoft, so them 2 are going to hit big at E3 leaving no one that interested in what nintendo has to say because by the time the games come out for it, we'll all be playing next gen games. the only people who will buy a wii u is hardcore nintendo fans, casual gamers couldn't care less as they have there fix on the wii and the DS, and any other gamer is already for moving on not backwards.
Nintendo's mistake was bringing out a medicore console at the end of the gen, with absolutely nothing special about it.Â

Lol, funny but true.
SMG2 is one the most overrated game in history. When its sooo much alike to SMG1 and Sunshine.. its a fun game but nothing spectacular.
A Zelda, Mario or a Pokemon game is a safe bet. Good for Nintendo fans, but for gamers... Hope its not the same old formula.

Most launch next gen games wonn't use the hardware in an innovative way.
Who cares if it is innovative as long as it is fun and pretty? Isn't that the logic people use with Nintendo, except more like who cares if it looks good as long as it is fun.
GoddyX's post always talk about how next gen games on the PS4 and 720 will be super amazing and significantly better than games on the WiiU. I don't see that happening yet.I like playing games and I buy consoles for their games and not graphical capabilities.

SO many words and not one valid point. Such a waste of bandwidth you are. Comical, some of your stupid ranting on the WiiU could apply to other systems as well. I mean, other than more power, what was so special about the SNES anyway? Other than more power and a DVD player, what was so special about the PS2? Tool. FYI, the WiiU is more powerful than the PS3/360, not on par. So you can shove that stupidity where the sun don't shine.
