That looks good, but I think Uncharted 2 looks just as good. It's still nice to see something different than Crysis

Are you kidding, just as good? Stop being so modest.Its like console gamers are afraid to call Hermits out on their bull or something. That game is an RTS, which isn't a graphic bending genre. Uncharted blows that away, no comparison. Hell, imo, there's 360 launch games that look better than that, whatever that game is, its not graphically impressive at all. Maybe the best looking RTS, but on its own merits, no. Graphics are subjective, and I'm sick of PC gamers acting like we have to bow down to their games or something, its annoying.

Maybe you missed the point but RTS games look fantastic and considering the large scale is insane. Company of Heoes at the time of its release was one of the most amazing looking games ever built. It looks even better now after the DX10 patch.

doesnt change the fact that those graphics aren't impressive outside of the RTS genre

I must have missed those because all I ever hear about is Crysis. Even if it does look the best, some originality would be nice. Why is a 2 year old game the best looking on the PC anyway. No graphical improvements have been made since then for the PC?

So there two pictures are nowhere even near the same graphical level? Like not even close? (Read: I'm not saying Kz2 looks better)

If graphics are so important to you then it would make sense for Crysis to come up, as it is hands down the best technical looking game. If you don't like seeing crysis as a contender, then maybe you should stop making such a big deal out of graphics.

to the above above post.. thats an RTS game... not a "corridor" shooter such as uncharted, granted it takes a mamoth system to run it all on high it warrents itself above uncharted.. its like you could say "gt5 is the best graphics the ps3 can do" but yet people will say its only a racing game kinda thing. now to the guy i quoted.. True it doesnt but games such as CSS and TF2 and COD games are massive on the PC. Well we have only heard about Uncharted 2 and Killzone2.. what else has the PS3 got that can even try and challenge the xbox let alone the PC :S

We are at a stage where pc hardware is outpacing the software.

I know this is hard for the pc4eva gamers on this site to deal with but money talks and the money these days is in the consoles.

Hate what you can't afford.

I used to own a 360/PS3. While great gaming systems they can never be put up against a PC, there is just no way to win. Oh and saying the grade of graphics is opinion is not true. Taste in a story or gameplay is opinion, graphics are graphics and it's either better or worse than the others.

I took this myself, ARMA 2. PC EXCLUSIVE.

CRYSIS:

Final verdict? PC wins. And CRYSIS 2 looks like Crysis on low - med settings on consolers.

I could've sworn that IGN was comparing the graphics of KZ2 to Crysis saing KZ2 gave Crysis a run for its money. Yet you act like Farcry, a 2004 game, compares to Killzone 2, just because its on PC. This is what I mean about PC gamer, just ugh:x

As for Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2 people last year were saying that they would come out this year and boost pc gaming.

PC gaming will continue to grow but only thanks to games like The Sims, Popcap stuff and subscription-based games.

The next big pc exclusive shooter (project offset) is just a tech demo for Intel.

The fact that people still talk about Crysis is proof that high-end pc gaming is in decline.

The fact people still talk about Crysis shows that it's still the number 1 graphics king out of all the systems. 2 years old, or 1000, graphics king is graphics king. And personally, ARMA 2 is right up there.

I find it funny when consolites downplay PC screenshots with a missing HUD - when it can easily be disabled in the vast majority of them - implying they are bullshots, when at the same time, 95% of all console shots are indeed bullshots, and very apparent at that.

On a side note, I don't think consolites understand just how far ahead PC hardware really is. Crysis is talked about because it is, without a question, the best looking game on the planet.

What consolites fail to take into consideration when comparing PC screenshots to console ones is

a) scale.

b) resolution, which is more often than not three times higher than that of consoles, making even a dull game technically superior to game it's being compared to.

Crysis should be a liberation for console gamers. Because no matter how much developers try any game they make for current consoles will look vastly inferiot to Crysis, thus all those graphics wars console gamers fight between themselves are pointless. So now you can all go back and discuss actual games, not their graphics. So you should be thankful for Crysis
