Lackluster? I believe you mean the multiplayer, its hard to determine what you are referencing too. Yes Crysis's is lackluster, especially next to Warhead's, or other multipayer titles. It's still lackluster. It was still annoying, having it open was really nice, but it could feel like a task sometimes.
Games that get you bored usually don't have alot of replayabillity, tell me, how many people still actually play the campaign to this day except yourself?
I have no problem with my attention span, it was fun to use the editor, but it became boring after a while no matter how you put it, i tried to make some larger stuff now and then, but it was just pointless, it didn't feel like it was well enough, maybe it will change with crysis 2, but this was far from perfect. Y
es, crysis wars did show some various improvements, but they were not enough. It might not be the main point of the game, but the main point (singleplayer/editor was really nothing to brag about.
Mods, in this case did make the game better, and they were interesting, however it's annoying searching for proper mods that weren't filled with loads of **** screens on buildings.
I could say the same thing to you, your opinion doesn't change that me and alot of people did not find it as special as everyone though it was. If it was replayable, there would more people online, besides, almost nobody talk about the crysis singleplayer, most seem to talk about how much they can get out of their pc to make sure that the game works as smoothly as possible.

*You* were bored of it. That is your own subjectivity. What I am establishing is that Crysis has a large amount of replay value, regardless of your own opinion of the game. Not everyone is going to take advantage of the replay value - like yourself, or even enjoy the game, however it is ever present and there for people to enjoy and replay the game.
You want to work out how many people are stilling playing the game? Do it yourself. Its pointless in backing up any argument as even if no one was replaying Crysis, it wouldn't hide the fact that the game is highly re playable, due to its design and features.
It being 'pointless' is your own fault, you being 'bored' is your own fault. An editor provides as much as you can take advantage of - there is no restrictions on what the player wishes to do in it, it is up to the players themselves. Difference is the sandbox editor is highly acessable and usable comapred to SDKs like Unreal Ed and Hammer (Personally I have used all of them).
Fact is it adds a high amount of replay value, not to different to that of a game with an assessable editor, for instance Little Big Planet, and of course this is where I can indicate as the mod community as an extension of the re playability of the game - regardless of your own subjectivity in 'liking it or not'.
Crysis is a very well designed, highly re playable shooter, and the sandbox editor adds a huge scope for replay value. These are more than enough to 'brag about' compared to other shooters.
And there are plenty of good Crysis modifications and downloadable content. Use the search filters on Crymod. Easy. Again this adds to the replay value of the game, regardless of you being able to find something to suit your oh so specific tastes.
Well crysis is another game with amazing graphics but very unpolished and nightmare hard gameplay...eg sof3, ubersoldier, etc...terrible combat and i think that that kinda games deserve to die.... Hope i helped tcdakan45hard gameplay? DId you use your nanosuit at all?

I didn't like the a.i. and was already sick of the island setting from the original Far Cry so Crysis had zero replay value for me. I am actually playing Far Cry 2 right now and am having more fun with it than Crysis. Sure it doesn't look as good but I like the fact that it takes place in Africa which is rare for video games.

Sorry, what?!?!?!?! Your having more fun with Far Cry 2... i'm speechless...
I loved the FC2 graphics, no complaints there... but gameplay wise it's one of the worst/boring and annoying i've ever played...
Well when you hear about people building "crysis machines" you know that pc gaming isn't what it used to be. The market just isn't there anymore to support high-end pc exclusives. dc337There's a market for high end PC gaming graphics hardware.

Its funny that you complain about the most minor things while Far Cry 2 has some of the worst game design this gen. If you played Crysis you would know that the AI is very good and reacts well in a sandbox enviroment while Far Cry 2 render's its AI in a bubble. They aren't minor, the a.i. in Crysis is lousy.JangoWuzHere

Notice how the soldier hesitates to attack, it's a problem I noticed way too many times. There's no excuse when you're that close and it is clear that you are the enemy.
I thought the alien a.i. was fine though, so what is your rationalization for that? Will you now assume that I only played part of the game?
Maybe you should just accept that some people didn't like Crysis. There are plenty of reviews on the net that complained about the a.i., and for some people like myself it was a big disappointment. I was really expecting more from a $22 million dollar game.
Crysis is pretty but the a.i. stinks. If you can look past the a.i. then good for you.
Hopefully the a.i.will be decent in the sequel.

This is so fun. I have been called a consolite twice in this thread.
I have been bashed for simply stating that i didn't enjoy the game, having 1-3 people questioning it, almost in denial about the flaws.
People don't belive that i have played crysis. Well i actually don't own a crysis copy. My brother does, lives like 3 hours away with train, so i could play it.

This is a demo video. You do realize that patches have been released. Also, the editor could also have been used to edit the level, and it looks like it has. The AI that was put in the video was probably put there by someone who had no map editing experience.Oh and I almost forgot the swimming video:

Your consoles aren't even remotely close to that rig and yet it still isn't capable of gobbling up Crysis. That game destroys the best PC's money can buy. To the other poster: Every game has AI bugs, trying fault Crysis while letting every other game in existence have a free pass is pure ignorance. I found Crysis to have great AI, especially considering the scale and number of ways you can interact with the Koreans. Else, due to the awesomeness of PC gaming, you can download this mod (or similar ones) and have some of the best AI in any videogame to date.
Actually, if you admit to having valid arguments while clearly not admitting to those of others isn't that also a superiority complex issue?I have been bashed for simply stating that i didn't enjoy the game, having 1-3 people questioning it, almost in denial about the flaws.

Pity you have to spend $10000 to play it. :)Mr_SplosherMeh I have a computer thats a few years old that was 1000 dollars when bought. Now I have put some money into it since than so im sitting on a computer that in total cost around 1200 or so dollars and it plays it fine on high settings. Still expensive but nowhere near 10,000(I know you were going overboard as a joke or at least I hope). You can play Crysis on a much cheaper computer than mine in high setting and be perfectly fine as well.
I beat Crysis 6 times and still play it today. It's a far better shooter than any console shooter out today. Maybe if people would stop saying console x game has better visuals than Crysis, the flood of Crysis pics will stop in threads. It's the only reason Crysis is brought up because ignorant consolites are always trying to say their game has better graphics than Crysis in which no console will ever be able to what Crysis did this generation.Tired of the pics appearing in threads about Console graphics. It will stop when console gamers quit trying to claim that a game on their system has the best graphics.

Just about all threads I've seen says "Console Graphics" yet some idiot feels the urge to post a Crysis pic, as if we never heard of the game. I guess we're not allowed to enjoy or talk about the graphics on our consoles then, right.
That's because there is no such thing as Console Graphics King. There is simply put a Graphics King and thare is only one King and his name is Crysis.
How is there a console graphics King but there isn't console exclusives? You can't have it both ways. The King rules over all and there is only one. Its name is Crysis. The inferior consoles will never touch Crysis and thats why these threads come up with the false illusion of being a King. Then you have people who go on and say every announced PS3 exclusive is better looking then Crysis. What do yo uexpect to happen?
Pity you have to spend $10000 to play it. :)Mr_Splosher
And you have proof that my PC cost 10,000 how? You have proof to back your cliam where?
My computer costed way less than 10,000$.
In fact only 400$ and it can play Crysis, (not well. but you said it took 10,000$ to play it)
Isn't that how much some hardcore console gamers spent on their 360 elites and PS3s?
