DICE: Console gamers have no idea How pc is capable of

Some 'Console gamers have really no idea' on what a modern PC is capable of according to DICE

Same goes with many pc games which looks far better on Pc than any console versions

So some of the ps3 gamers dont like the fact that battlefield3 looks better on pc and making some points on twitter to johan.

I think Johan makes a pretty valid point. I think console gamers need to realize that the PS3 is almost 5 years old and the 360 will be completing its sixth year soon. But then too, the game is looking pretty damn awesome on the PlayStation 3.

They're right. My friends are all console only gamers and constantly trash on PC whenever I mention it. There's only like one or two that realize and admit that PC games look better than console games(yes, I know I hang out with idiots) People who haven't played on a modern PC don't have any indication of what a PC can do.

Hehe I guess PS3 gamers thought that "The Cell" instantly makes their outdated system a super computer.

I would play the PC version for the improved (and higher) framerate. Nicer graphics is just a bonus. Starting point would not be how great I can make it look, but how great I can make it play. Then adjust the graphic settings from then on while trying to maintain the same perceivable performance. Yes, PCs aren't just toys, so they should be able to handle games well beyond what we've up to this point.

from the article linked, it seems like some other fanboy was complaining about "PS3 owners *complaining* about the footage".

I don't think many were disappointed, especially after watching the HD footage of the stage demo.

I think some random fanboy was stealth trolling with that tweet, and it worked.

While I was snuggled up in bed the other morning playing Persona 3, controller underneath the blanket so my fingers didn't freeze (it's winter here), I experienced one of the many perks of console gaming. There are more important things to my gaming experience than pretty colours & flashes.

I have a gaming rig, but I only ever use it for MMOs, which I don't play anymore due to time constraints, and RTS, which I don't play much anymore either. I haven't bought Witcher 2 because I'm waiting for the 360 release. I'll be buying Skyrim on the 360 & haven't even considered buying it for my PC (I played modded Morrowind back in the day, so I know the possibilities). I probably won't even be buying BF3, but if I do it will be on the 360 also. I just find it a lot more simple, comfortable & easier to manage.

I also have a bunch of friends to play/speak with on XBL. Also, Demon's Souls, Red Dead Redemption, Gears of War 3, Halo Reach, Uncharted, Last Guardian, Team ICO Collection.. I just don't get why PC gamers talk as if playing on a console instead of a PC is insane..

With more and more games going multiplat these days, system requirements are relatively low. Games are made with the lowest common denominator in mind, usually the PS3/360 (in some cases even the Wii), making the PC versions less taxing on the hardware, assuming the port is somewhat decent.

That's why there are three year old cards that still have little to no problems running today's games at high settings at 1920x1080.

PC gaming won't leave you stone-broke if you're only after a visual experience superior to that of consoles.

This is probably right. If you think about it, the vast majority of console gamers are so called 'casual' gamers and therefore will not know much about PC gaming and it's potential.

A 570GTX isn't top of the line but it's more than $300. It's a high -mid range card. xhawk27

And it's also alot more powerful than the 360/PS3, even combined. You get what you pay for.

The 570 is a top of the line card. It can easily max out every game out there and then some. And you don't need a 570 GTX or an HD 6970 to get the most out of PCs. Those are great cards and work well, but a GTX 260 or 5830 can still handle new releases very well well.

Probably not, but that isn't really saying much in this context, considering consoles will not even run it at half that. At the very least, you'll get a better experience than you would on consoles.

The consoles will struggle to maintain 30 frames per second at 720p in this game and many others. Your GTX 260 should, and probably will easily top that.

Not at max no. But at medium-high(probably closer to medium) you could. BF3 is going to be pretty well optimized. And you don't need to spend a lot more money on a CPU or RAM either. You can get a could 4GB for less than $50 and an AMD Phenom II X4 for around $110.
