Not at max no. But at medium-high(probably closer to medium) you could. BF3 is going to be pretty well optimized. And you don't need to spend a lot more money on a CPU or RAM either. You can get a could 4GB for less than $50 and an AMD Phenom II X4 for around $110.

I have a 460 and I can tell you it's great. But, by the time fall gets here we'll be seeing some of the next series cards coming out. You'd probably be better off with a 560ti. It'll probably be at 460 price by then. As for processor, it may not be the newest but it'll do you good for a while. The 9550 is a very, very solid chip.

Radeon HD 2900 and Geforce 8800 GT is already generation ahead of console GPUs.

It ain't about the hardware it's about the produce, good sir. What've you got? AA, 60 FPS, 1080p? That is impressive but hardly a entire generation ahead... I do think the PC is a generation in front on paper, but what has the PC done that truly validates its superiority?

The title of the thread is wrong they actually said: "dont u love how PS3 fluffers dont really understand game design?I love their comments on the ps3 footage thinking it can be = pc" (random individual)

To which Johan replied: "yeah some console gamers have really no idea what they are playing on or what a modern PC is capable of"

I think the some part is very important. There are some console gamers who had unrealistic expectations, there were a couple of threads here with people saying that they was disappointed it didn't look like the PC version.

Also the PS3 version looks amazing, people need to check out the HD footage comparing it to the PC, looks really great. I think DICE will do a top job all around, so everyone wins.

I like how everything is twisted so that it looks like flamebait. First of all, it's one guy from DICE on twitter, not entire DICE. And he said some console gamers, but the headline just says "console gamers" as if he's generalizing.

PC is more capable? Well if you have the slightest knowledge of hardware, you'd know that. I play consoles because I prefer the simplicity and the exclusives imo are better than anything on PC.racing1750

It's quite common for console oriented gamers to believe what the package tells them.

It's a common belief that console games are rendered at 1920*1080 for example, it does say 1080p on the back of the box afterall....

As an isolated quote this isn't too bad, but it fits into a larger context of quotes from the BF3 developers in which they make it clear the PC version is their main focus. With that attitude, there is no way in hell they will even come close to competing with MW3.
