Already had one but it did make me very happy to do so

Mario kart's most recent iterations have never been the most balanced of games.:Pmario kart wii took that to a new extreme. It's the main thing that ruined the games. Cluster**** of players + blue shells = almost completely lucked based game.[QUOTE="MFDOOM1983"]
[QUOTE="Shinobishyguy"] the large number of players is kind of what screwed up the balancing in mario kart wiiShinobishyguy
The fact that Retro is helping the development of this game is also reason to get hyped.
Meh, i'll need more than hangglides and customizable rims before i purchase this one.I have already bought a 3DS at launch, and sold it two weeks later. Nothing at E3 would convince me to re-buy another 3DS. Its not that the games wont be good, but i hate pretty much everything about the hardware. The 3D is useless in the fact that the slightest movement will make you lose the 3D effect. Just simply pressing buttons in a active game will make you lose your sweet spot on the screen.....not to mention the games that want to use the gyroscope and have you turn your 3DS in all kinds of directions...that is just not going to work. The controls are gimped due to the lack of a second analog stick. I got bad hand cramps from the regular DS, and i cant see things getting any better with the 3DS. The battery life is abysmal. Its just a mess of a system.

Nah better games is entirely fact.
I don't know the PSP's lineup, all I know PSVita lineup destroys 3ds lineup.

I'm really interested in Time Travelers and Fantasy Life.Actually the Level-5 Press Conference convinced me. The exact moment was when Phoenix Wright vs. Professor Layton was announced and I screamed out in joy like a girl who just got asked to prom.

The top part of the bottom image is from when it was on the DS; the Bottom part is from the 3DS.

No, I already had one day one. I was already anxiously awaiting the next DS as soon as I bought a DS Lite. I knew the generation was nearing its end (usual system life cycle), so I followed every bit of information I could on a successor. And of course as soon as it was to be released, I was getting one.
[QUOTE="Tony-Baxter"][QUOTE="MFDOOM1983"]No but sony convinced me that nintendo is price gouging its customers.MFDOOM1983How? Graphically speaking 3ds is closer to psp than psvita yet they're the same price. 3ds should be at the most $200 but even that's pushing it. To be fair, I think it's more the fact that Sony are offering a better deal rather than Nintendo robbing their customers.

Yes. Super Mario 3D, Animal Crossing 3D they all looked good.
My only problem is, I've played all those games MANY times before and the Vita looks like the more interesting alternative. I like the launch titles more. But I've also never played Ocarina of Time so I now want to buy a 3DS
Still no for me. After having seen what the Vita is offering the day before, it's hard to say that the usual showcasing of Mario iterations has got me interested much. However, if I were to buy one, I know I'd be getting Mario Kart, Super Mario, SSB, Zelda, and Pokemon somewhere down the road. But I don't have a favorable opinion of 3D and the fact it murders the battery is concerning, plus there are a few things the Vita offers that trump a lot of Nintendo's offerings.
A super Mario game developed by the Super Mario Galaxy team!
A Mario Kart developed by Retro Studios!
A sequel to one of the best gamecube titles I ever played Luigi's Mansion!
All coming out before the year is finished? I was going to pick one up eventually, but I never expected there to be three must own games coming out at year's end.
great system get one by this hailday season and you will be happy. Psp one was a huge let down for a long time so i will wait long time to get vita.
I don't know why people would think ports of modnation, LBP, and Wipeout and Uncharted sounds like a great line up
It's neat, but two ports of PS3 games, and two original entries in series that belong on a PS3 anyway isn't exciting for me
The 3DS's line up blows the Vita out of the water this year, it's gonna to be so funny in SW when the 3DS outsells the Vita for a while at the same price. Launching against Super Mario, Mario Kart, Metal Gear Solid 3D, Kid Icarus, Star Fox is a bad idea Sony.

Graphically speaking 3ds is closer to psp than psvita yet they're the same price. 3ds should be at the most $200 but even that's pushing it. The 3DS has 128MB of Ram, Dual 266MHz CPU's (which it's the architecture that gives it so much power, more than 532MHz worth), and a Pica 200, a 400MHz GPU which also has great architecture for easy per-pixel lighting, procedural texturizing, refraction mapping and self-shadowing, which uses a lot less power than programmable pixel shaders. It's like the equivalent of turning that 400MHz Pica 200 GPU into an 800MHz one. The PSP has 64MB of Ram, a 333MHz CPU and no GPU. That's a huge downgrade to the 3DS. The PSVita has 512MB of Ram which is rumored to be downgraded to 256MB, a CPU capable of 2GHz, but no special architecture, and an SGX543MP4+ quadcore GPU which supposedly is clocked at 200MHz. The big difference between the two systems specs are the Ram, the CPU and the CPU and GPU's architecture. So the 3DS is closer to the PSVita than the PSP. Again, Sony uses the inferior GPU in their console, just like the Xbox 360 and PS3, so even with all the other over-the-top, expensive parts, the specs are evened out. The PSVita is still definitelly in favor though, but the 3DS won't be as far behind as you're assuming. haven't you seen Resident Evil: Revelations, Resident Evil: The Mercenaries or Beyond the Labyrinth? BtL looks equally as good, maybe even better, than Uncharted for the PSVita, just with a different artstyle.
3DS Game; Beyond the Labyrinth
PSV Game; Uncharted: Golden Abyss
They both look pretty great, but I guess Uncharted has the edge.riariases
Wow, I am very interested in that Beyond the Labyrinth game by those screenshots.
I'm glad they're using 3d to add depth to sidescrollers like I wanted, but the system is still way too much money for me.
Won't be picking one up till it drops down to 130-150 range. In the meantime, my dslite more than satiates my handheld needs.
topgunmv
I doubt it ever gets near that price. Ever. Like $170 the lowest I see it and that's in 2017 with whatever next gen handheld coming out

Are you trying to prove my point because that looks abysmal.Nintendo is aiming at 60 fps (3D enabled) and 8 player online. That's probably the reason for the not-so-mind-blowing-graphics.

That's just silly to say it doesn't look better. Watch the trailer on a 3DS. Then you see what it's going to look like.

It definitely looks better. I'm not blind :P Oh and we didn't get the E3 trailers here in EU.
