[QUOTE="LastRambo341"] Actually, what I'm saying is factualLastRambo341
I think I'll just leave this alone, before things get out of hand
So you're telling me that I should take these complaints (such as, "derp, I dn't like the character design") seriously? Ya ok. Yeah you should. Character design may not be important for you, but it sure is for most. Maybe you are the type who wouldn't care if it was Kirby instead of Master Chef in Halo and maybe you don't give a rat's ass about story and just skip the cutscenes, but most people don't do that. Or maybe you like angsty dudes, and like watching the twilight movies again and again. Just kidding.In any case, why I don't feel this will be any good is due to the attitude shown by the devs. When asked about the negative reaction to the new Dante, this is what they said:
"It's about Dante being cool and making you feel cool when you're playing it, and so the combat and the style system and everything is integral to that. But, you know, what was cool 12 years ago – I think that was when the first game came out [It actually came out nine years ago for PS2 - JC] – isn't cool any more. for Devil May Cry to have that same impact, it needs to draw on new things.New music, new ways of cinematography, new fashion."
So basically the devs justification is that we needed to do something different to SHOW that "YEAH WE ARE DIFFERENT, WE ARE UNIQUE, WE ROCK" and that their idea of cool is being an angsty b**** and being mad at the world for everything. And there I got seriously skeptical of their chances.
