As the title says,
I find XBL being extremely cheap, I pay for it and I enjoy it. I will post up a poll.

OT: The service XBL is very stable, polished, user-friendly and better IMO.No.The money isn't all that, but neither is the service. It's good, but so is PSN or Steam.

No. $60 a year to play a component of a game I already purchased is too much money. I haven't had gold for a year now.
Not worth the price bump, and not worth it before either. I've used XBL for quite some time since the Gears of War 1 days up until Gears of War 2, but on and off. It's overpriced and most of this service is filled with advertisements. I could see $25-30 a year being reasonable, but not $60.
Yes. Why wouldn't I want to play for mostly lag filled p2p mp, when its free and much superior on pc. But hey, atleast I can read worthless stories of random avatars, purchase extremely overpriced games on demand that come with no case and see all the cool stuff my retarded looking avatar can wear,
[QUOTE="Miketheman83"]40$ a year is nothingElann2008Except it's $60/year. I've never paid more than $40
$3.91 a month is no big deal (that's how much a 12 month gold card costs plus shipping). KC_Hokie
Hey bro, I got some belly button lint I can ship to you for only $3.91 per month. Hit me up this is a solid deal you can afford $3.91 per month right?
Because im a college student, and dont have the money to upgrade my PC (even though all i need is a new processor and gfx card) and all my friends play on it, i love Halo and Gears 3 online (no lag by the way) And because I use party chat every time its on. Soooo.....why would I not?Yes. Why wouldn't I want to play for mostly lag filled p2p mp, when its free and much superior on pc. I have no idea what you're trying to say but all you have to do is shop around for gold cards.Nope. All the things on Xbox Live could be found free on the internet or through other means. It's nice to have all those in one package but $60 bucks a year isn't worth it. I rather have it free and find it separately. PSN's menu's so on and so forth has no bearing on that its free, it's a design choice.
Paying for XBL is like paying to use your own internet, which you already pay for. If they provided dedicated servers to eliminate lag then we might have something. As it stands, it's a complete waste of money and possibly the biggest scam in gaming.

Don't forget the exclusive feeling you get knowing ur a goldmember. That's wrth the $60 in itself rigt there.
No, but that's because when I play multiplayer games I almost always play them on PC. $60 a year is definitely not an issue, I already pay a crap ton of money for subscriptions an extra $5 a month would be almost nothing.
When psn first launched and was god awful yea. However PSN has really evoled into something better and thats when I stoped paying for live.
I think paying fifteen dollars a month for an MMO is a worse deal. You can make the excuse that it's paying for the servers all you like but no matter how you slice it you're still paying fifteen dollars a month to play a single game.Paying for XBL is like paying to use your own internet, which you already pay for. As if posting a gamertag would prove anything. On topic not i don't but i think this topic is grossly over done already.[QUOTE="KC_Hokie"]$3.91 a month is no big deal (that's how much a 12 month gold card costs plus shipping). tormentosNo monthly xbox live is $10 dollars not $3.91.
It's $60 MSRP which comes to $5/month
You can get cards cheaper on the internet, for around $45.

You can't pay MS in 5 dollars installments monthly, you pay $60 dollars once,if you want 1 month of XBL is $10 dollars, breaking the cost of XBL into 12 months is a joke MS doesn't allow you to pay that way,and if you really want 1 month is $10 dollars,if you want 3 is $25. And gamestop and pretty much any walk in retailers which is were most of the gaming goods are sold,XBL is $60.[QUOTE="ZombieKiller7"][QUOTE="tormentos"] No monthly xbox live is $10 dollars not $3.91.tormentos

KC_HokieNo monthly xbox live is $10 dollars not $3.91.Not sure where you shop. There are 12 month card for $47 plus shipping. That's $3.91 per month. No you don't understand me,MS doesn't allow you to pay monthly $3.91,the charge you $10 if you buy a single month, you are breaking the cost in months you can't do that, because BL is actually more expensive that way. And what you find is a deal, which not every one gets or close, pretty much all walk in stores had live for $60,gamestop,walmart,sear,kmart, and many others.
Why would you walk into a store and pay full price for something you can get for $13 cheaper which includes shipping? And $3.91 is the cost to me per month when you break it down. I break down all yearly costs into 12 month segments to compare apples and apples. KC_HokieBecause there are million of people on this world who don't have a credit or debit card, people who are new, people who don't own a PC,people who don't trust online shopping you name it,the fact is the biggest chain of stores gamestop sell it for $60 online or offline so i a sure the ones who bough XBL in a deal are a minority. You are breaking the cost on something which can't be break that way,in fact XBL sell you 1 month but it will not cost you $3.91 it will cost you $10,you just break it that way to help your argument i can do that. The PS3 wasn't expensive at launch it was $600 it was just $1 dollar a year to play, because i break the cost into 600 years cycles.
