Do you think PC gaming is overrated in System Wars?

Anyone else think the PC gaming is kinda overrated in System Wars?

I mean, every time someone says "Console gaming > PC gaming" there is 100% sure bound to be a reply saying: ":lol:"

It's an opinion! And it's a valid one too. I realise PC has the most AAAs/AAs and whatever, but who cares? Scores are just opinions and if the games don't interest you then the scores mean nothing!

It seems to be a general consensus in here that PC gaming is significantly better than the rest and I feel that the system and its games are overrated. Well, not really. It's just that I think the consoles are underrated in comparison. I mean, they're all good systems but when someone says console gaming is better you're hit back with all this talk about AAAs and whatever, and how the graphics are better etc...

And I personally am not interested in most of these AAAs/AAs (and from the ones I've played, they don't deserve their scores in my opinion!), I don't care if the graphics are better, and console gaming is better suited for me.

I agree, console games get entirely too much attention. Everytime you kids have an argument about games in SW you tend to count out the PC because you know it's the automatic victor. Or when you speak of system sales (as if they matter), you count out the Wii and just talk about sony and microsoft.

If you can't discuss ALL the systems, then why are you in system wars?

I wouldn't say overrated...but it's not necessarily better than console gaming. It all depends on preference. Many PC gamers (In System Wars...since they are the first ones to yell "A is better than B".) fail to realize that PC gaming isn't for everyone and when someone says this they are often times offended.

Opinions are for blogs. SW is for facts. Facts say the PC is better. And owning consoles and a great Gaming PC, I can say that the PC is better. HOWEVER, the consoles definitely have their place. By my statement "Opinions are for Blogs." I meant that opinions regarding the superiority of a system or whatever is for a blog. I am just fine with people saying they prefer the consoles HOWEVER, the SECOND they start pretending that it is a fact, they need to immediately be told off. Adding IMO makes a HUGE difference in this case. And if you are taking about your opinion and you don't say IMO, then someone tells you off, either say IMO or prepare to be hit with the fury of a 1000 fanboys.

The pc is super overrated. People always overblow the graphical difference between it and consoles. And not to mention it's more expensive.

So reviewscores count when proving the PC superiority but don't count when you want to use the SAME argument to consoles?

If we can't go by reviews on console gamse then PC games can't use it either

Listen, you are starting to misconstrue things here. Those are all fantastic games and I won't deny them that, HOWEVER that doesn't make all console games innately better than PC games. The PC has a much larger library of AAA games and while those games are fantastic, they are anomolies, they are not common. On the other hand, great PC games aren't uncommon. Games the caliber of say HL and HL2 are uncommon but in general, games are better on the PC.

I will agree that the PC and Console are great in their own ways though. In general, the PC is better though. More AAA/AA games, more content(mods), more freedom, better graphics, better controls (it is up to preference there but with the PC you can use any controller anyway so....), and better online.

PS - None of those games "kick all PC games in quality." Many classic games for the PC were CRIMINALLY underrated. Diablo 2, Fallout, Fallout 2, etc. All criminally underrated. It is debatable whether or not they are better than the above mentioned games but they are certainly all classics and once you get to that point, it doesn't matter anymore because all of the games are so fantastic that it is impossible to quantify any level of "greatness" above that point.

PC gaming is not overrated most pc gamers will post actual facts instead of pulling things out of there heads. But pc gaming's real con is never recognized because most ppl who don't play pc games don't know what it is. Instead will say I don't have $2000 but it doesn't cost nearly that much in fact it is about the same in the long run.

The con of pc gaming is: NO STANDERS online. If person1 has a micro laptop mouse verses person2 who invested 80 bucks in a gaming mouse who has the advantage? If someone has superior hardware and gets 60-200 fps while someone else gets 25-35 who has the adventage? Oh and capcom is retarded when it comes to ports.

There it is the only big con and I can deal with it so can you.
