Does anyone still believe that Uncharted 2 looks better than Gears 3?

Being a Rank 41 takes days and is proof that I know what the map looks like. Find me a screen of you controlling your character with that lighting that's so obviously a tweak it's not even funny. And I play on a 1080p monitor as well.

Epic did a good job but ultimately the graphics of Gears 3 can't compete because it all has to be shoehorned into a 1997 era DVD.

Yep, Uncharted 2 is the best looking console game ever made. And it will stay that way until Uncharted 3. Gears 3 looks good, but not anywhere near as good as Uncharted 2 IMO.

Killzone 3 > God of War 3 > Gears of War 3 > Uncharted 2 > Killzone 2 > Crysis 2 > Uncharted 3 IMO.

I hope the footage we've seen (screenshots, gameplay vids etc) are jokes.

It has a nice art style at least and the models are pretty detailed.

Textures were flat though and it was sub HD, not really impressive at all technically. Drakes Fortune blew it out of the water.

Gears 3 has no AA whatsoever. has framerate dips as low as 24 fps. stereoscopic 3D looks terrible, too.

Forza 3 had better performance than GT5, yet GT5 still looked better. The same rule applies here.

Imo, U3 looks better than Gears 3 from what I've seen. Either way they are both amazing franchises.

Having played all, Killzone 2/3, Uncharted 2 and God of War all look better if not equal to Gears 3. It's hard to tell, it's close, but they seem to have a hell of a lot more effects and stuff going on then Gears, more impressive. Gears is really static, with weak animations, and very few great effects. It focuses the graphics more on textures, which is fine, but not as impressive overall.

You're really splitting hairs when comparing these games graphically. I like Gears 3 more than an UC game, but I don't think the game looks as good as some people are trying to front. Maybe that's because I was playing Crysis and The Witcher 2 waiting for Gears 3 lol.

Both games and UC3 look great, I'm happy I will be a proud owner of all 3.

While I find more colour attractive to look at (Uncharted) Gears has some nice looking graphics especially form something that is mostly gray.

Rage will look better than everything that is released on consoles this year.

Sorry but you seem to be talking about Gears 1 and 2. Static? Gears 3 has some of the best particle and smoke effects i have ever seen (finally since the first 2 had basically none) and lots of units at the same time. Go play Act 3 Chapter 1 for a good example.

Simply put...

Crysis 2 on 360 > anything on PS3 and Gears 3 > Crysis 2. :P
