AMD Phenom II 1055T is from 2008 and it sucks
Intel's 2.8gz quadcore from early 2007 stomps on it
5870 is from 2008 aswell and it was always med-end, maybe even low end
12gb of ram... lol how useless
HaloinventedFPS
lol. wow I didn't think there ever could be someone who knew so little about computers! :P
ah my bad Phenom dual cores came out in 08, got confused and the X6 came out early 2010, either way, intel 2 quad still beats it, AMD suck now for CPU's, everyone knows that, they have since 2006
the 5870 was 2009, again my bad, but it was never high end, it was med end, but the 5970, now that was high end, it could run Crysis in 1080p with 4xaa at 60fps, god damn beast
This processor is now slouch, especially with it being overclocked to 3.8GHz. Also the 5870 was high end, it used to be AMD's single GPU flagship card, and that can play Crysis 1080p 4xaa 60fps too....
[QUOTE="Ironbash"]http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7167/6480065431_8e68c98bdf_z.jpgkweeniWait I thought Forza was no longer allowed to have Porsche? Or is that a Ruf?
Looks like an RUF RT112.
Are you kidding me?
The characteristics of the material and how it interacts with light are too much like plastic. Car paint simply does not shine and reflect at every viewing angle. It also looks like Turn 10 got lazy and just used the same material on every single car in the game. There should be angles where you can see the base coat more than the clear coat and vice versa. Turn 10 has it all wrong. This is how it's done:

no, modded GTA4 does in realtime, in an open world game... lol consoles
HaloinventedFPS
lol PC that costs an arm and a leg to run a single modification.
who cares its still in engine rendering and it looks purdy.
its not in game at all, and a $600 PC could run modded GTA4 in 1080p with no probs, with ease over 40fps at all times
Don't start the PC bullcrap nobody care'sExactly, but do you see where the base coat shows more than the reflection in the clear coat (top layer)? You don't get that in Forza and that's why you get that plastic look. In Forza, the "paint" looks like one solid material instead of the layered coat look you get with a real paint job.
@ Rikusaki - real world photo, lots of shiny.

maybe in DX10. however in DX9 mode I get 60fps ;) . And no one cares about DX10, it was a performance hog with very little improvement
I am really starting to think people have never played Forza 4 and GT5 both. Anyone who thinks GT5 looks remotely as good is just being ridiculous or they are as stupid as this Hermit trying ti intercept the thread.
Indeed. But FM4 is a MASSIVE step up from FM3. And by the time GT6 comes out, We'll probably have FM7 or 8. And Turn 10 will probably surpass PD with FM5.Forza Photomode looks fantastic but I think GT 5 spanks it. Polyphony's lighting is superior.
heretrix
Photomode. I have played both games extensively and GT5's photomode IS superior.I am really starting to think people have never played Forza 4 and GT5 both. Anyone who thinks GT5 looks remotely as good is just being ridiculous or they are as stupid as this Hermit trying ti intercept the thread.
WarTornRuston
The game is different however, where I would give the nod to Forza simply for it's consistency.
BUT-
GT 5's premium car models are astounding and they blow awayForza 4's car models.
For anyone who loves cars surely will say that both F4 & GT5 are amazing racing games and can produce some gorgeous looking pics...
Definately look forward on how these 2 x series will evolve on next-gen consoles :)

As a PC gamer, I want to urge you people to ignore this guy. He does not represent the average PC gamer.
How could you forget GT5?
:o
On a serious note, im sure it is. It was nominated for the best technical graphics for a reason!
PAL360
LOL i forgot about the standard cars. Seriously though i think both forza and GT models are very close to the point that unless you were really up close and looking for faults you wouldnt really tell any difference between them.
It's widely regarded GT5 has the better looking photo mode. Why is this even a thread or a debate? Is Ironbash upset from getting run out of the GT5 sales thread?
First here are some shots taken by me during replay of an actual race. Not that autovista thing that only a handfull of cars can be have pictures taken of them.
By the way these are Standard Cars that obviously belong on PS2
