Does Killzone 2 Have ANY chance of being GOTY?

So I popped the game back into my PS3 (last time I played it was like in may lol) and I was reminded of ow much kickass the game is.

Multiplayer is awesome, I played the 2 maps in the Flash and Thunder DLC, and the campaign is spectacular (death animations are awesome!!).

How many think it will get GOTY?

nope, came out to early in the year

MGSIV managed it and that was an over hyped let down. So it's not impossible if that can get it anything can. Course KZ2s hype has dropped massively what with even sony fans having trouble thinking up good things about it but i'm sure if they cried and yelled loud enough they can influence the "reviewers" on this site once more.

I doubt it, as said before me it came out too early, GOTY for some reason is always a game that comes out in the fall :P

But to those guys saying that it can't because it came out too early in the year: Resident Evil 4 came out in January.

Release date isn't why Killzone 2 won't be GOTY. The reason Killzone 2 won't be GOTY is because of all the awesome games coming up which look like they'll be sure Game of the Year candidates.

Uncharted 2 might steal it from Killzone and Halon00bkid

It was released in Februrary which means it wont have any hype left in December. Heck it doesn't have any left now. It might get graphics and will face ODST and MW2 for best shooter. I hope MW2 doesn't win >.>

The only half-decent thing Killzone 2 has is graphics, and that is being very generous because of all the lag spikes during saves/loads.

Uncharted 2 will get it.

I am almost done playing the Single player and I have to say it's a good FPS but the best game this year. Not a chance.

Youre right, it will at least get a nomination on every list.

I dunno why people bash the game so much. I was seriously starting to bite into the generic talk, but todays fun time just changed my mind

ok so which games were better then killzone 2 so far, for me other then infamous i don't see what was more fun to play

it's one of the best games ive played this year thusfar, it will probably be nominated, but really has a snowballs chance in hell of getting GOTY

It's got a chance but there are alot of heavy hitters that have yet to come out, such as Assassin's Creed 2, Modern Warfare 2, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Uncharted 2 and etc. One of these games will most likely get it.

It's my favorite game this year so far lol.. Alongside InFamous. Still, I can see it winning best shooter and graphics technical.Episode_Eve
