Tons of alpha/beta games that are all the same. Video card prices that are stupid high because of mining.

Where are our x-wing vs tie fighter, STALKER, half life 2 level type games?

I love indies, but shit it's getting old.

Only few really good PC games to come out lately is PUGB which is like 50 other games out there, Divinity II, and civ 6.

age of empires and civilization plus pillars of eternity and all those baldur gate like games coming out PC gaming is rocking plus you got blizzard making PC gaming great again bringing back classic wow servers

All gaming sucks right now.

WoW is dead. Overwatch is alright.

I find the myriad of STALKER mods that completely change the vanilla game a lot more interesting than new games. I'm having fun with the standalone mod: Call of Chernobyl.

I have IL-2 Cliffs of Dover with Team Fusion or Blitz to give me my WW2 flight sim fix. It's not like the other consoles/systems have a viable alternative.

Not sure why you brought up X-Wing vs Tie Fighter. Reviews when it first released was okay, but not outstanding.

X-Wing and Tie Fighter got outstanding reviews from multiple PC magazines. X-Wing vs Tie Fighter got the obligatory okay to meh reviews from most review sites.

Yeah there is not much going for pc gaming right now. Gaming in general lacks games that get me excited like they used to. Hardware leaps are becoming smaller and smaller with AMD's Radeon group holding L's and Nvidia just standing pat while tghey sit on real next gen hardware. But what reason is there to release it? I would tell my engineers to take extended vacations while we rake in the cash.

Nah, that's what playing old PC games is for.

I'm having a blast playing Hearts of Iron III. If I had a better computer I could play DCS World, improve myself with the Huey.

Those games alone can be countless hours of gameplay.

I can't play new games anyway, so I'd agree not too many new games on PC. But it isn't sucking for me.

PC has access to the best version of every multiplat (best graphics and performance + mods). Almost every PS4 and every single X1 game gets a PC release.

PC also has a ton of exclusive e-sports titles in the MOBA and RTS genres, as well as a myriad of exclusive AAA RPGs (both single player and MMOs). It also has competitive shooters. Shooters are unplayable on consoles with analog sticks and 30 fps.

Ultra graphics @ 144 fps with a keyboard and mouse is an unrivaled gaming experience.

If you think PC sucks, then console is worse. PC wins in a landslide every year this gen at MC and GS.

So why should i buy a console? when every game runs and play better on PC?

Because it's more enjoyable to play all those games in the comfort of your living room at 20-30 fps and low-medium graphics.

And everyone knows there is no way to play PC games in your living room.

GPU prices are a little too high but with time they'll come down, no condition is permanent.

As far software content goes though there's never been a better time to be a PC gamer. I can't keep up with all the amazing games, mods, etc. on PC.

You can still buy GPUs at MSRP directly from Nvidia and EVGA. I just bought a GTX 1080 last week for $549 USD.

Most of the good/heavy hitter PC games like MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries, Hunt: Showdown, Phoenix Point, Witchfire Star Citizen/Squadron 42, Total War: Three Kingdoms, GTFO, Rune: Ragnarok, Wolcen: Lords Of Mayhem, Lost Ark, Escape From Tarkov, Faith Of Danschant Western release and etc aren't coming out till late 2018/2019. Then there are some such as Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord, Serious Sam 4 and Blackroom which we don't have exact release dates on.

There are a couple of good PC games that came out recently or are upcoming like Battletech, Pillars Of Eternity 2, DCS World 2.5. PC is also getting titles such as Warhammer Vermintide 2 and The Legend Of Heroes: Trails Of Cold Steel II before consoles.

When I go to Nvidia's website and check out their GPUs, there are just "Notify me" links instead of "Buy" links. How long do you have to wait and how does it work?

beside i dont play casual cinematic games like uncharted or tomb raider so i dont need to be comfortable to play games.

I don't know why you would wanna sit all relaxed, leaning back into your seat with poor posture, when playing a game that demands your concentration. Even when I played on consoles, I was usually leaning forward or sitting on the floor. I totally could lean back when playing PC games, but I don't want to.

Nvidia seems to restock once a month. EVGA restocks like once a week (but they only ship to USA and EU). Just setup notifications and they will let you know when they restock. You need to be quick though as they usually sell out within a few minutes.

When hasn't PC gaming sucked would be a better question :)

PC Building sucks right now due to insane RAM prices and GPU shortages. But the gaming aspect? Nah.

Compared to the olden days id agree but id also say the same goes for consoles. In fact id say its much worse on consoles tbh and is the reason I stopped buying them. Consoles really suck.

Perhaps im just getting old, but iv certainly out grown consoles.

PC is the definitive platform for racing games.

I've always been part of the PC Master race.

I've been gaming on PCs since the very early 90s lol. I just happen to also like gaming on Sony consoles too.

What sucks is how much homogenised gaming became between all platforms. PC moved towards consoles, consoles towards PC. There's really no uniqueness, maybe except for Nintendo.

Sucks? I invested like 400 hours in Warhammer Total War 2 alone.

Idunno, if PC gaming sucks, and you're tired of indie stuff, doesn't that sort of mean all gaming sucks? There really are not that many AAA exclusives to PC and if you discount indie stuff, well...

So, no, PC gaming does not suck right now. It's only getting better and better.

And if you are judging your gaming experience by the quality of your hardware (i.e. video cards are prohibitively expensive), you're doing it wrong. PC gaming is first and foremost about the games.

A few exclusive games per decade is hardly a reason to feel left out of console gaming lol. I mean, let's look at PS4: first it was The Last Guardian, which no one talks about anymore. Then it was Uncharted 4 after literally years of way too much hype, and no one talks about it anymore (probably b/c it was a disappointment). Then it was Horizon Zero Dawn which is the one game that actually looked genuinely good, and, well, people still talk about it so that's nice.

What about Nintendo? Breath of the Wild, and...? And that's not a criticism, btw, I think Nintendo makes great products it just seems a little starved for titles.

Meanwhile, on PC, there are literally hundreds of amazing games coming out, it would be tough to talk about just one. And let's not forget that PC is, for the most part, 100% backwards compatible for decades of games, so while you all are buying 60-dollar remasters I'm just playing my old copies with visual mods.

You asked where is X-Wing and Tie Fighter? Why, they're installed on my PC! So is Descent: Freespace 2, Freelancer, Tachyon: The Fringe (Bruce Campbell voiceacting a space sim!? Sign me up), X3, and a few other classics.

When I say 'kids' I mean early 20s. I had a console for about 6 months back in the day (early 20s) but I moved on.

Nah. I've actually just been getting back into some DS3, and really enjoying it. My time is literally split between my Switch and PC ATM. I only just brought my PS4 to my new place and set it up lol.
