and lol @ people ragging on driveclubs 30 fps, a 780ti(3x or so more powerful than ps4s gpu) cant even maintain 60fps in pcars(which looks substantially worse than driveclub) with ZERO aa without lowering several settings

Dude, Forza is a driving game, GT is a driving game. This thing is more TDU or whatever. It's not a driving game, I'm pretty sure arcade games aren't called driving games.

Honestly, I don't know. Since MS owned me with the latest Kinect thing, IDK. It's not even just about Kinect, they sold me an X1 on a particular vision they had and didn't have the balls to follow through with it for more than six months.

I have a really nice PC which literally just needs me to choose a graphics card (it's running off the i5 GPU right now). I may keep the X1 for a while, partly because I can't be bothered to get rid of it and partly because I wouldn't get the money back since it's cheaper now and Fifa 14 and KI are locked to my account.

This is the best looking arcade racer I have ever seen. Project Cars or Forza sim killer? Awe hell no.

How much of an arcade racer is this supposed to be? I had thought it was leaning more towards realism.

Hopefully the game will deliver. Would be nice to have some proper racing game since GT7 is probably still some years away..

I'm having fun playing Forza right now. Cows are having fun posting about Driveclub on SW.

You know Driveclub is going to end up being an abysmal flop.

CoD/BF ttier realism.. It's not as fantasy as a Halo but it's no where near ARMA realism either... DriveClub looks realistic in gifs and videos but they just don't have the advanced physics engine that a sim would have.

yeah it rly is very poor looking outside of the car models. people love to post 8k bullshots where everything except the car is massively blurred thru DOF tho. and again, a 780ti cant even play it at 60fps at 1080p w/ no aa on the highest settings with no other cars in the race lmao.

the lighting and materials system for everything except the cars looks like a ps360 game. the tracks and especially the trees look abysmal when compared to driveclub.

Don't sweat it, the "cows" as they are called pick the ugliest shots of a game to compare it to whatever game they are hyping. In Fact are you all hyping this to a AAA game? lets get that out of the way also, why don't the cars in Drive club have any suspension? when they press brakes they don't move, the don't roll in the corners they just float above the pretty road. SO can anyone really expect this game to be any good? You guys are falling for the shiny toy trick again....

Slightly Mad can eat a ****. Shift 2 was unplayable on PS3 or PC. Good god, they didn't make this game, did they? They already killed my favorite new franchise, are they out to kill entirely new ones as well?

Lighting looks bad as well, I hope thats not how it looks in stock settings. PCars is a completely different game anyways, I'm looking forward to both.

It's a racing game not an open world RPG or sandbox game.

There aren't many variation of showing a racing game other than with different vehicles and locations which are paths that aren't exactly open for exploration lol.

If those GMAEPLAY screens are from PC on ultra settings then you have to settle for either PC sucking or that the game itself is not as spiffy graphically as "hermits"...as they are called...hyped them to be. Take your pick.

I seriously want to know whats up with the physics why aren't the cars reacting to the environment? Why are the car bodies floating? Whats the deal with that steering wheel? Its almost like they rushed through the foundation of a good racing game to put things like lens flares time lapse, smudges on windshield.... you know those important racing bits.

just look at the video. The game's clearly not a sim. You can't take corners in a sim going that fast or wait to the very last moment only to tap the brakes and pass it unharmed. The acceleration is quite ridiculous too.

I can't wait for the downgrade before launch.
