Despite the fact it's a pre-built Pc, it is quite a good deal.
Does that machine max Crysis Warhead? What about the original Crysis?lantus
No. No current PC can max Crysis. It was made with future machines in mind. The PC from EA will run the game to a standard which looks amazing however; certainly better than anything on consoles.
That's a great rig for the asking price. EA usually get a lot of hate, but i think it's awesome that they're trying to get gaming PCs into peoples homes.Ninja-Hippo
You know, EA have been getting tons of crap. But, recently, they've been doing alright. Maybe that's because I'm a Valve fanboy and Valve has praised EA endlessly, but I digress!:P

Pre-built? What's wrong with that? Somebody has to build it...
no OS? its a good deal, but i can build a better pc for about the same price with OS, keyboard, mouse and speakers as wellDante2710
It comes with all of that, minus speakers.

Pre-built Pc's are generally extremely overpriced.

That rig would run Crysis just fine. :?

Some people are willing to pay more in exchange for not having to mess with acquiring parts and assembling them.

You'll often find that if you buy all the parts in any given pre-built PC and just put it together yourself (which is very easy), you'll save literally hundreds of dollars. They ask for stupid sums of money just to put a PC together.

nope actually its a crysis warhead machine which is suppose to be better optimised then crysis was the TC should change the title to not confuse ppl.
Um, this machine should run the Original Crysis fine too. 2GB of ram and 250bg storage is fine to run Crysis.

Buying the parts off NewEgg and putting it together yourself is no greater a hassle than buying the PC online and waiting for it to be assembled and delivered.

I built a computer at the age of 13 by reading two online guides....... Buying 8-9 items and putting them together isn't rocket science...... The point he's trying to make is that if you did bulid it this computer which could mop the floor with any console graphics wise, have the best library of game, free online and $10-$20 cheaper games could be had for a little less than $600Some people are willing to pay more in exchange for not having to mess with acquiring parts and assembling them.

Yeah, that is kind of a given. I don't know what your point is in saying this.:?

2GB of RAM is hardly enough to run other games this gen on Vista, let alone Crysis.
Hopefully I'm making the correct assumption that it's coming with Vista.
My older computer with 2 gigs of ram, vista, a slower dual core, and a smaller harddrive along with a card easily half as good as the 9800GT could run the more DEMANDING orginal on medium with a few things on high...... So yes that should run the game all base settings highest EASILY.......2GB ram? yuck

Interesting to see EA investing this much into PC gaming.
And yet everyone were expecting EA to enter console market.
This machine gonna be upgradeable?SSCyborg
I dont see why it wouldnt be. They'd have to go out of their way to stop you doing it, and they have nothing to gain from doing so.
And what makes you think I don't?
SSCyborg
Because those specs will run Crysis to a very high standards and you said "yuck..." to all of the specs? That's most likely what he's talking about.

If you have a decent enough video card 2GB of RAM is absolutely fine to run Crysis.

Because the wolfdale processor performs on par with an older conroe 3.0ghz processor and same for the amd x2 series which kills the 360's processor and instead of talking about video card (which you can't bash because its good) you have to talk about harddrive space.....[QUOTE="Pinkyimp"][QUOTE="SSCyborg"]2GB ram? yuck

Well that right there just gave it away for me..250 is more than enough for todays computers..unless your keeping a bunch of crap you never play on it...sometimes it makes me wonder why Gamers/desktop users would buy 1TB HDD's.
Run Crysis at minimum?
I guess it's a good price at 700$ but the hardware is already kinda old.DireToad
WHAT? All of my hardware is worse than that and runs the game at mostly medium settings... some high some low. How can you say those are suitable for minimum settings?!
Run Crysis at minimum? The wolfdale series processors along with the 9800gt came out within the last 6 months..... And can both run crysis direct 9 on the highest base settings @720p

Most test show no improvement once you get past 2gigs of ram in gaming benchmarks and my copy of vista takes up around 300mb which isn't somthing to cry over so try againYou can upgrade to more harddrive, you have 2 more slots for ram, it supports faster speeds of ram and quad cores so yep.......[QUOTE="mastershake575"][QUOTE="SSCyborg"]This machine gonna be upgradeable?Pinkyimp

Unless your playing some really hardcore Supreme Commander, you don't need anything above that. And 2 gigs of RAM will handle anything for at least another 2 years.

well some people got music, movies, tv series, etc on their hard drive. A friend of mine filled already some 1.5 TB of HD space up, he kinda doesn't want to bother with CDs and DVDs, so he puts everything on the 3 HDs he got
