Sony has no need to worry about sales. I mean, look at the performance of the PS2; six years after the introduction of its successor, the machine went on to sell an extra 50 million units worldwide.

I guarantee that demand for the PlayStation 3 will still be strong in five years time, whereas the 360 and Wii would be long forgotten.

To me, it feels like MS came last. Tied with a year head start and selling arcade and 4 gig 360's for 200< for years while Sony had an albatross start. At least MS stole a ton of market share from Sony.Grawse

Actually, scratch that, 25 years ago is still incorrect as the NES sold 60 million units alone, and then you there's the Sega master system, Atari 5400 etc that made up more than 70 million, so in fact, you would have to go back 30 years :lol: ! as the only big console then was the Atari 2600 @ 30 million units sold, the rest of them only made up a few million. They tend to ignore the topic because it doesn't play to their sales game (they also ignore the Wii). But I've never hear them have any other excuse for that when playing the sales game when they are forced to address it.
