Ok after there E3 press conference I've given up on them, I mean come on there so called biggest announcement was wii fit. Yes im sure that balance board could be cool in future wii games but the point is wii fit isnot a game (Its a creative work out program thats a bit more flashy then some book or dvd).Imean as far as real games go mariokart was the only new announcement (which will probably gd but meh) and you sheep are gonna tell me that wii fit and mario kartwas enough to tide you over. I mean most people have said that this years E3 was'nt all that greatand are they ever right.I mean the releases are gonna come all out in the same period and after this E3 what have nintendo left you to look forward too not much. I mean nintendo dont make big announcements often and if wii fit was the biggest thing they had to show at E3 then my expectations are pretty low for whats to come after the release of all the big titles we already know about. Oh yeah and the only confirmation of release dates were for america and canada (I admit I get tired of that and nintendo are one of the main offendors for it) but I guess I should be use to that by now.

Though I still back the DS as the best handheld of this gen, but my expectations for the wii and future nintendo home consoles are pretty low.

Ironically,SMG+MP3 have made it easier for me to decide on which will be my secondary console. TGS will be where Sony and Ninty bring out the big guns,I can't wait for that MGS demo.Dualshockin

This was'nt just because of the press conference that was just how long I was gonna hold out till because knowing nintendo the next big announcement is a long way off but with microsoft they tend to space there's out pretty evenly

Seriously.. Wii Fit looks like it is going to sell tons.. In the recent years Nintendo made announcements like Pac Man VS. BIGGEST GAME ON GC!!!!

compared to that ill go with Wii Fit and its selling power 24/7 rather then sticking to a meh game that will sell 0 copies...

At least you can expect that the userbase will grow and more games will be developed on it.. even if you hate Wii fit

(for your information i love the Idea of Wii Fit and using your feet for gaming)

Microsoft did nowhere near as bad as nintendo(this is coming from a sheep). Microsoft did what they were supposed to do show GAMES GAMES GAMES. They talked about the sales and movie crap for a few minutes but it was mostly about games. All nintendo did was brag brag brag and all we could do was not care. They had 4 montages of media crap. Last year they had montages of games.......i liked those....Footballteen58

I didn't say people can't enjoy it, I'm sure some will. But it is a gimmick. It's for people who want to feel like they are doing something for their health by putting in the minimalamount of effort.

Do I need the WiiFit board to do pushups? If you want to get your blood pumping than you are better off getting DDR, with WiiFIt you'll barely break a sweat steping on and off the board.

Is anyone really surprised about this. This has been Nintendo's act ever since the introduction of the N64. Good first party games while third partys get left out of the lineup.

What is suprising is that gamers continue to support them and buy into their gimmicks and garbage.

I defy anyone to tell me what Nintendo is doing this gen that they did not do with the N64 and Gamecube to "ignore" the hardcore?

We are getting more hardcore games in one Fall period than we ever did, and top production, AAA games. Never during the N64 and Gamecube era did Mario release a great Metroid, Mario, and Smash game is a five-month period.

And that's on top of games like Batallion Wars II online, Strikers online, Fire Emblem, etc.

All these so-called "ex Nintendo fans" obviously were never Nintendo fans, because they obviously don't remember the droughts of those systems. Nintendo has just managed to maintain their hardcore fanbase AND casusals. It's quite a feat, but in System Wars it mean unexpected success XBOX and Sony fanboys never saw coming. So now they whine and cry that Nintendo is killing gaming.

But yeah, I mean people are acting like Nintendo used to churn AAA games out every month. What company does. In addition why is everything on Nintendo's shoulders? XBOX 360 and PS3 get credit for games like Call of Duty 4 and Assasin Creed, but those are third party. And as we know third party participation is increasing everyday for the Wii.
