Fable II's generous and forgiving template isn't one that many games choose to follow, but it proves convincingly that if you're clever enough, you can create a consistent challenge without resorting to mindless punishment, and you can craft a sharply told story that still has room for the player to express themselves within. Inclusive and often thought-provoking, this is a daring portrait of a game-world with all the failure cut out, and it's hard not to love a game that loves you so much in return. Fable II will charm you, thrill you, and leave you very, very happy.

honestly? if Fable 2 manages to get 9.5 here (which is clearly not out of the question, given its scoring elsewhere), this forum will blow the hell up.

if it gets 8.5, it'll be a minor earthquake...a 9.0 will just be a party. but a 9.5 will be a seismic event here. Cows will cry about it outscoring LBP. Lemmings woud dance about it being better than 99% of Sony's games this year. Everyone would have to endure the inundation of new threads about Fable 2.

I can't wait to see what happens.

Yea i know, but that's a reviewers job. To be nit-picky, so they can give you the best review possible.

Anyways this game introduced a nice feature (the co-op) to the RPG genre. I hope more games use this. Can you imagine Fallout 3 with that feature :D

Im not saying Fable 2 will in any manner of speaking score a perfect 10, just pointing out that anything is possible, literally.

I think Gamespot delays its reviews just to see what the critics have said and then go about it safely and consider everything. I mean I smell 9.5 over this from GS but is the review ever gonna come out? TOnight maybe? I been up all day waiting.

I'm seeing this as a 9.0 on Gamespot. This is the game that I want most for 360 this year.
