FACE IT... The Wii is not killing gaming.... IT'S JUST KILLING THE PS3 AND 360

I love all this sad damage control from people who can't come to terms with the Wii's success. The 360 and the PS3 are only selling a fraction of what the Wii is so I can see why 360 and PS3 fanboys would be feeling so defensive.... especially with all this talk of developers swiiching loyalties to the Wii. Sales most definatley do matter... stop deluding yourselves.

So basically you'd enjoy Mini-Games galore plus 20+ year old franchises with a "wiggle" control element than Mass Effect or Bioshock, or Halo or Heavenly Sword or Lair ect... ok different strokes I guess.. :?

I understand that hardcore gamers don't get it, but at least try. Those titles aren't going to move casuals away from the Wii. They may provide a spike in 360/PS3 sales over a short period of time, but that's it.

Nintendo hit a new market, and they're drawing in casuals and hardcores just as well as the competition. Sales aren't going to slow down just because you want them to.

Devs like developing games for systems that sell well. Wii is selling well. I think you can see the connection. Saying that the Wii wont have games is illogical.

Selling but I'd rather play any other thing in other system... well simple things get the most attention.

It changes every gen, fans will always stick to their consoles strong suits.

The only thing the 360 has impressed me with is how many ways it breaks down due to shoddy hardware. Disk errors, disk scratching, freezing up, crashes, update bricking, etc. This is without mentioning the red lights of death.

There's a difference between not having the best graphics of the bunch, and having graphics a generation behind everybody else. The PS2 isn't comparable to the Wii. Not even close.

A system isnt magically going to double in overall public popularity or sales just because 1 or 2 ace games have come out for it.

I have a Wii. The only difference is that i'm not a hardcore Nintendo fanboy. I can happily admit that i'm disappointed with it. I played Zelda on the gamecube, LOVED Rayman, although it doesn't have any lasting appeal at all unless you have friends over to play. The only games i've bought and actually enjoyed were Trauma Centre, which again is very short and mini-game ish, and Paper Mario which AGAIN is clearly a gamecube game.

There IS a drought right now. I've had the thing nearly six months and i'm still playing Wii Sports mostly.

Right now, the Wii is a bucket of shovelware, within which there lies some fun mini-game-centric games if you can find them. As well as these, there are some other good games but they smack of gamecube game-turned wii title at the last minute.

I'm not saying this wont change. The Wii WILL get its own awesome games soon enough, but right now, all it has is sales. You'd have to be a fanboy to try and claim there's a good, comprehensive gaming experience to be had with the Wii right now. Because there just isn't.
