The major problem with you is simply that i said the Wii will get awesome games in the future like Metroid, and that 3rd party standards improve once the sales of poor games start to decrease. So i'm not bashing anything. I own a Wii, and my only complaint was that compared to my 360 and PS3, the Wii just doesn't have any good games right now. The three best games i've played on it are all gamecube ports, which makes me question the purpose of dropping so much cash on the system when the three best games are all clearly intended for a console i already own.

That was my gripe. And you should have just accepted that as a fair point. You went off on one completely however and have landed at this rediculous ending of saying 7.0 games are still "good" and therefore i'm wrong. Does every system not have those games? Are they not ten a penny? What the Wii lacks is AA and AAA games which the other systems have a lot more of (in the AA departent at least; only the 360 has a decent number of AAAs right now); though still not enough.

The Wii needs more AA and AAA games. In that department, it is being outclassed. If you cannot agree with that, this thread is pretty much over as i may as well talk to my hand.

Sorry if I think the games are good enough to stand by themselves, especially since I've never played the GC versions of them. That is why those games are acceptable for me.

As for AA and AAA games, any system could use that, not just the Wii. I haven't really been impressed with the lineups of the other systems, especially since they don't really match my tastes, just like the current selection of Wii games don't match your tastes. I'm just basing everything on my opinion and you can't accept that THAT is fair either.

The Wii isn't killing anything. It's targeting a different market than the majority of the Xbox 360 and PS3 sales. For the first time women and older people with out any experience in the field of video games are playing the Wii.

Simply put, Wii sales will not affect the Xbox 360 or PS3 sales greatly due to the fact that people will still buy them to play Halo 3, MGS4, GTA 4, Mass Effect, and most importantly Madden and other sports games.

The Wii is nothing but a glorified secondary console meant to play Nintendo games on.

Sorry if I think the games are good enough to stand by themselves, especially since I've never played the GC versions of them. That is why those games are acceptable for me.

I don't think that the wii should be compared to the ps3 or the 360 cuz the wii is just a kids toy. All I see the wii as is a gamecube with a new controller. I think the high sales are to do the fact that its cheap and lots of parents are willing to buy their kids a wee.

i agree with this thread....all the lemmings and cows are crying because the wii is doing so well, the wii continues to outsell the 360 every week and it blows the ps3 out of the water every week as well.

oh and btw its just a matter of time before all of the lemming's and cow's "BIG GAMES" get ported onto the wii.....

If Nintendo takes over gaming and does what they did with the Wii on their next console, i'm done with gaming. I don't feel good about absolutely no advancements in the technology and using a gimmick controller to sell the console. That's fine that the controller works well...but at least make the console somewhat of an advancement.

Without the kind of risks Nintendo takes, we may just be stuck with X, Y, B, and A for the next twenty years.

Face it, Nintendo took a chance and was highly rewarded, and rightly so. I mean attempting to change the way we interact with games? That's not the easy way out like fanboys here are claiming, that's the hard way out. You people act like a motion controlled based console with inferior hardware and a focus on casual gamers in addition to hardcore gamers was a sure thing.

Guess what, it was not. It was risky, and fortune favors the bold. The Wii proves that quote. And finally Nintendo loyalist have their time in the sun on System Wars. Enjoy it guys, it's well deserved (just don't forget nothing lasts forever).

I'm not saying the Wii was a bad idea. I'm saying that there haven't really been any good games that weren't taken from other systems. There's no games right now that go, "This is what the Wii can do. No other system can do this. It's awesome, and you can only get this awesomeness on the Wii." So far the best Wii games have been games from other systems with Wii controls put on. I'm not saying this won't change, but there's no reason to get a Wii right now.

Well, the Wii is not killing the gaming INDUSTRY, in fact it is increasing its size.

What it IS doing, however, is killing both high-quality games (due to the success of its terrible games), and diverting resources away from hardcore gaming (due to the casual games market). So it is killing OUR games, unless you like wario ware.

Sheep, this is beginning to get rediculous. Is the Wii in competition with the 360 and PS3 or not? Whenever bad games/poor graphics are brought into question "no no that's just because nintendo are going for a whole new market with the Wii." Whenever the Wii gets some decent sales figures "ZOMG Wii is pwning the ps3!" and all of a sudden it turns out they ARE the same things and they ARE in competition.

What are you talkin about ? if sheep are saying its ninty's fault for bad GFX, they should die... its the 3rd party dev's fault for that... and the wii has had amazing sales figures since the start. So now more 3rd party devs are jumpin in.. to make some cash.

I love all this sad damage control from people who can't come to terms with the Wii's success. The 360 and the PS3 are only selling a fraction of what the Wii is so I can see why 360 and PS3 fanboys would be feeling so defensive.... especially with all this talk of developers swiiching loyalties to the Wii.
