I don't blame consoles.
*gasp*
No really, the problem that has occured with Fallout 3 has nothing to do with consoles. Look at Ikaruga - moving to the 360, or Command & Conqueor 3 - it's not as though we can't keep something "true" to a play experience. No, the problem is Bethesda.
It's not their game, it's not their world, it's not their vision. They're taking Fallout 3 and making it in their own vision, one that is quite similar to the same vision that created Oblivion. "But Oblivion was great" - for some - I'm not here to argue that - but imagine if you went to play Call of Duty 4 and it played just like Halo 3 - or you wanted to play some Metal Gear Solid 4, and it played like Halo 3.... you loaded up Mario... wtf... Halo 3?
Fallout fans are looking for the sty1e that made them enjoy the first two games - that Black Isle touch - but Bethesda wants to create their own interpretation of Fallout, in their own way. Even if you say "well it's a fun game" - it's not the game the fans of the series are looking foward to - Mario Sunshine was a "fun game", but not what Mario fans were looking for - they had to wait for Galaxies to really get the kind of play experience they were seeking.

And that's just it - Bethesda saying "the 360 is our lead platform" doesn't make it the 360's fault that Fallout 3 is just a total miss - it's simple another little "tick mark" in how Fallout 3 is a bit like Shadowrun on the 360 - a game that is a radical departure from its original - even if it appears, is named, and is treated as being a similar game.
