PC version will get 8.5, I predict.

Why are people denying the bugs? Tons of people report getting bugs, and we know bugs are EXTREMELY inconsistent. Gamespot got a lot of bugs when they played it, thats not so hard to believe. Especially considering its using the engine that the buggy Oblivion and Fallout 3 used, not to mention Obsidian is well known for being pretty bad with bugs. Come on guys. I like the game a lot too, but I also live in reality.Skittles_McGee
I am not denying bugs, I am saying it like it si from my experience with the PC version. I have not had any crashes, freezes or any game breaking bugs in the pc version. The odd characters gets stuck and the odd slowdown (only had one slowdown in one exact building).
I am not denying that others are having those issues, I am sure they are.
But a game liek Red Dead Redemption (which I enjoyed), has WAY more bugs then what I have experience so far with New Vegas. And yet Rockstar gets a pass for RDR on the bugs and issues.

I didn't mention names, just saying. That said, I've had nothing game breaking, but NPC glitches are extremely common. Especially the one where they freak out like someone is attacking, then go back to normal. I've had that happen quite a lot.[QUOTE="kozzy1234"][QUOTE="Skittles_McGee"]Why are people denying the bugs? One of the characters I was near turned into a horse.. half woman and half horse... and another time a person was flying...
That's a lame move.Current rumor circulating around is that Bethesda is forcing sites to pull bad reviews...

Oh yeah, definitely. Of course, as you said, YMMV when it comes to bugs/glitches, so some people simply haven't experienced what others have. Plus, it isn't like a buggy game with technical issues was unexpected. I'd have been FLOORED if this came out noticeably better than Oblivion or FO3, both which required patches on the various platforms as well. I guess what surprises me is that the actual game didn't seem to be viewed as favorably as FO3 was.

Forcing? How? You know what GS did when SE asked Nicely for a 30 day window before reviews...
Dunno, just saw it on gaf. "One site was forced to pull its Fallout Vegas review because advertiser Bethesda was unhappy w/ score. Sad this crap still goes on."It may be a case of "patches are on the way", don't be too harsh on our unfinished product. Where'd you hear the rumour? I like me some gossips !Current rumor circulating around is that Bethesda is forcing sites to pull bad reviews...

7.5? lulz! classic...
don't care one bit, i am still just as excited to get to play this as i was before.
i imagine by the time i get around to playing it there wil be a pile of patches out that will fix the tech probems.

The story goes Bethesda tells site to take down bad review lest they lose advertising dollars.

It has bugs but not as many as the review made it out to be..If there is gonna be a GOTY edition it would definitely be worth the wait, it's really not smart to buy the game right now since it has so many bugs.

I played 10 hours and have encountered very little bugs. Only once did I encounter one where I had to restart

I love me some FO, and I'm def. getting New Vegas, but don't you think that if a publisher doesn't want a critic to be "harsh on their unfinished product", I reckon it would be best to delay the launch a little, or withhold review copies. Especially since there's a patch coming a week after release!
I also like me some gossips! :P

Maybe it should have been pushed back indeed. It's a shame because as the Gamespot review said - great game but marred by bugs. I can't wait for the game, but the talk about bugs/glitches has affected my anticipation level. It's now more about how it runs, than how it plays.[QUOTE="kozzy1234"][QUOTE="Skittles_McGee"]Why are people denying the bugs? 360 = 8.5
pc = 9.0
I have this game on PS3 and i've yet to encounter any bugs....at all...
about5 hours into the game..
maybe i'm lucky:P

Yeah, these things vary. I had a good run early with my PS3 copy. This afternoon I started getting the stuttering or pausing when running fullout for a period of time. Seemed to get worse the longer I played, but all I had to do was save up, quit the game, and restart and I was good for another hour and a half or so.
Lower than I was expecting, as it is a killer game. However, I got hit with 3 more freezes tonight. That is 4 within 9 total hours of play time so far. So, it is indeed buggy, but I am expecting a patch to address this. I still think that the game itself is fantastic.
Don't hold your breath, to me the engine itself seems to be the problem as the freezing issue still exist to this day on fallout 3.Lower than I was expecting, as it is a killer game. I really hope fallout 4 or what not has a brand new engine because it needs it.
Yeah because Bethesda were just masters of releasing glitch-free games, amirite? Oblivion had a bazillion horrible game-breaking bugs and Fallout 3 was no thing of beauty either. Anyway, 7.5 is extremely low compared to what other sites are saying. Another "controversial" Gamespot review. /yawnLOL

Obsidian strikes again.

It seems that way. Then you get Vanquish which gets a 9.0 out of nowhere... unpredictable to say the least. As usual I'll form my own opinions, but it would be nice to see reviewers start agreeing again. Consensus makes me comfortable.7.5? Ouch. GS has been merciless lately :|. Here comes the inevitable "I WAS NEVER HYPED FOR DIS LULZ 7.5 OWNT IM NOT BUYINZ THIS!"
Is it just me or are there a lot of games this fall with better user reception than review(LOS, this, etc).?
Upparoom
Didn't even score AA :?
I'm kind of glad I didn't purchase New Vegas right away. I had a feeling it would end up like this.

are you serious? just because a game scores a 9.0 doesnt mean its a gift from God, you know. =PDidn't even score AA :?

"Vanquish is my favorite game this year, beating out StarCraft II and Mass Effect 2 for me. It isn't long, but I'd rather have 7 hours of amazing than 20 hours of meh!" Hmm maybe the best quote of yesterday was foreshadowing for today :shock:jg4xchamp
Better than Bayonetta?

As usual I'll form my own opinions, but it would be nice to see reviewers start agreeing again. Consensus makes me comfortable. consensus is too pansy. They should be ripping games a new one on sloppy errors. And by that same token yes i'm willing to admit Mr. Von Ord probably let Vanquish off the hook in some areas(length being one of them I guess). I feel like the game critics are too forgiving, but I guess that's a different argument for a different day.7.5? Ouch. GS has been merciless lately :|.
