It's an amazing game, and Boone (the sniper that's with you) is amazing. :DI remember going into Freeside and promising I wouldn't kill anyone (my character's style 8) And then one of the junkies tried to rob me I shot the knife out of his hand and he ran away. I continue walking and like 30 seconds later I get treated an awesome and bloody sniper bullet making the guys head explode.

I like to sit my room with my Sennheiser HD203's and just get lost in the world. It's really detailed and everything just begs further exploration - like I just founded Vault 22 today and I was like "Oooh" I just wish it was a bit more punishing.

So how are you guys playing the game character wise? I'm the good guy, who has moments of weakness when it comes to petty crimes like theft. I ate someone to restore my health also, in another moment of weakness but promise that it won't happen again ^_^ Also, played for over 5 hours and had no issues apart from one freeze (although I was just reloading a save and mucking around shooting Easy Pete at the time).Ravensmash

I'm playing a good guy too, though he's a kleptomaniac. He's also a somewhat of a pacifist - he tries to avoid most fights, though he's also prone to paranoia and would rather get the drop on someone else than get surprised himself.

Also, he's a charmer -Speech is at like 80 right now and I haven't run into a Speech check he could pass. Probably going to grab the Lady Killer perk to - cuz he likes the women 8)

Going to roll a Wasteland Cowboy next - specializing in guns, melee, and survival.

1000 caps is a joke in this game. The best weapons cost 5000+ at the gun runners, and the implants cost over 5000 too.Parasomniac

It seems to crash every few hours for me (PC). There's an autosave bug, but disabling steam cloud in the game's steam properties window fixes it. Had baddies get stuck inside scenery a few times, and I once got half caught inside some rock slide stuff near the gecko ambush too but thats once in 42 hours of game time now (was like 1 hour in). It pretty much acts like Fallout 3 did for me. I really think its the game engines fault. I really hope they retire this thing if they can't be bothered to fix bugs its had since Oblivion.mbrockway

I love Boone. He is a hard ass and has no time for the legion and their twisted ways. He is also a crack shot.millerlight89

edit: Actually I just remembered that the other dude says he shares guard duty with Boone. Way too much stuff to do and things to think about in this game :D

Well, with the 360 version I'm about to hit 30 hours at level 17 and still no freezes or crashes. Had a few hiccups technically speaking and a couple of quests have made me reload to finish but since I have been saving every 5-10 mins it hasn't involved much backtracking. Love it, it is so much better than Fallout 3. This is the game I've been waiting 12 years for.

I've got the 360 version also and I finally had a freeze at about 20 hours in. The thing is as buggy as all get go, but it's about the same kind of bugs that Fallout 3 had so I'm used to them. I've had a few quests that were broken but soIv'e been lucky with crashing. I hope it stays that way. It's just a shame they didn't polish the game before releasing it. It's ridiculous to release a game as buggy and in some cases bugger than it's predecessor that had been out for over 2 years using the same exact engine.

Veronica is ridiculous. Oft times she just runs in and flattens the opponents in a single hit :P Awesome. I have yet to try Boone.

When I asked about the NCR ranger combat armor, someone here told me you can earn it by doing a quest.

Thing is, I'm nearing the end of the game and have most stuff for the NCR, but I still haven't gotten a quest like this.

[spoiler] I'm currently on the mission to kill Mr.House and I think that's the last of the questline [/spoiler]

Any help on where/how to start that quest would be appriciated

You do not get a set of NCR ranger combat armor from the NCR. You have to kill a ranger or loot a dead one. I used a stealthboy and killed a ranger and NCR never even got mad.
