Fallout: NV Mega Wasteland Hype Thread-Gamespot-Consoles 7.5-PC 8.5

Taking New Vegas back to get Vanquish. Not because of the review, but because I realized as soon as I stepped outside to the world of new vegas, I realized why I couldnt play FO3 for too long, because it was so boring to me. Also, it didnt help that the first person that I tried to kill couldnt even die. Turned this glitchfest off after that.I do hope that the patch comes soon though for the fans of the game.

I am about 5 hrs in and have not had any bugs or issues at all. Game runs fantastic with no slowdowns, granted I downloaded the d3d9.dll fix but still the fact that the bugs are so bad on this game that it was docked and I have not seen any is strange. I lost a few quick saves when I first started but I havent since and I check to see if it was saved before I exit just in case.

Well, thats the console version. The PC version looks fantastic, and does not feel dated to me at all.

I disagree with the graphics part. Although I sold my game for other reasons (glitches, and its not my type of game), I was actually impressed that the graphics quality improved over FO3 (I had the PS3 version). It looked like they updated it a little. But they do need a new engine, I mean, the graphics and other technical aspects from the previews of RAGE kinda puts New Vegas to shame.

Very few games that are that expansive look better than New Vegas.

Like Dead-Memories said, New Vegas has tons of content and is a huge world. Very few games have that much content in it alone. So the graphics are acceptable.

I'd say an 8.5 (PC version). It's ALOT better then Fallout 3. Much more interesting, believable world and atmosphere. I've only played about 5 hours though, and I'd personally give Fallout 3 a 7.5. If you liked Fallout 3, you'll love New Vegas.

I didn't hate F3, but I'm enjoying NV much more because of the dialogue, world design, story, quest design and the better use of the RP system that was present in F3 amongst other things. It still has the same wasteland atmosphere as F3, which is great. I guess these differences seem subtle to some. NV is a great Fallout game, I never thought I'd be saying that after F3.

Despite the bugs, as many users mentioned, I'm still getting the game. SO HYPED!! But no money :cry:

I didn't hate Fallout 3.. I gave it a 7.5. :? It was a great game but the Stalker series overshadowed it. New Vegas feels alot more organic in design. Fallout 3 felt fake and plasticy, and at times childish. The atmosphere is much better then Fallout 3 imo, and in a game about surviving in a post apo world, that's important to me.

Also anyone not playing hardcore is just wasting it! It really add alot to the game.

Ran into my first really annoying bug, took me a minute to figure exactly why it was doing it. The game kept crashing over and over, I was saved right before a fight and needed to equip my best armor, the best i had was NCR Bandleer armor, everytime I equiped it and repaired it, after a few minutes it would crash. I checked old saves and they didnt crash, I have stopped the crashing but I guess I can never equip that armor.:?

EDIT: It is only when I repair the armor, repair bandleer armor=crash.

I noticed a typo when talking to an ncp lol. Apart from that, still flawless. I love the new shooting mechanics with ironsights. :)

Does it crash randomly? Maybe that Armor is bugged.
