I'm predicting Sony slashing prices within 2 months, leading to an upsurge in sales. Still, all hope is not lost for Sony as they don't know how the European and North American markets are going to react to the PS Vita.DeX2010

The only purpose to bashing another system is to discourage other people from buying their own product. Also you don't see many people buying a 3DS and PSvita if they want both so they buy only one. Just as christmas diverts attention to other products as well. I'm pretty sure if the psvita released before the 3DS you would see atleast ten thousand more sold. shadowchronicle

This thread is for discussing Vita launch numbers, not to discourage people. Those that want the device have already decided to buy it.

The next question is whether any of Vita's games can beat the 3DS's best software launch. Layton released at 120k. I doubt Vita can beat it given the obvious smaller hardware sales.Eponique

3ds was battling a psp that was thriving and the god handhled ds i dont get what you mean by no competition
