First PS3 screenshot of Crysis 2....I'm not floored, and my jaw is not dropped.

looks alrite... i was expecting to get blown away (though it is a pretty meh picture with no action going on) kz3 , heck kz2 looks better.. Ofcourse it will look heaps better in motion. Crysis 2 on pc will hopefully blow us awaycampzor

Considering how old the console hardware is these shots of C2 and KZ2 are amazing, I'm impressed.

Looks pretty good for a console game. But I'm not gonna score for the graphics.

That looks fine, don't know why people are complaining. Infact it looks great.

there's more to graphics than just the snapshot, it's good to observe how the games framerate behaves, the environment animations, physics, lighting, water effects, all that good stuff, anyhow I doubt they'd bother to make it on consoles unless they can do a good job, even if the console version are very satisfying PC supremacists will still complain about how it's inferior to their version, I mean for the Xbox 360 they're working with 5 year old tech and with the PS3 it's 4 years old, PCs are always being updated so someone is going to make YouTube videos of Crysis 2 running at max settings on a $6K computer while they blow up countless barrel arrangements in the Sandbox Editor and everybody else with a PC is going to gloat about it like their PCs can handle it the samelamprey263

it may not. Kz3 has a chance and then some games after both of them will look better.

KZ3 still looks like Killzone 2 to me. Oh well. I still believe Crysis 2, Rage, and Resistance 3 will look better than it. Oh and Uncharted 3 of course.

I don't think it looks as good as say, Killzone 3, but it looks great.

This is pretty old shot(3D presentation),taken from 3D frame buffer.It actually outputs 2 exactly the same shots like this one,30fps per eye.It does not help the fact that its in quite boring place with crappy TOD.I reckon that new build shots should look better,plus with all the post processing,I have no doubt it will look mighty fine.

We don't know what the performance issues will be on 360/PS3. That pic only looks "nice", nothing mind blowing, and there are some average looking textures right in your face on the ground. It's also just a still shot, we don't see it in motion.

For all we know they had a really hard time getting the console versions up and running smoothly. Actually they pretty much admitted that. Now were their standards to make it blow away every other console game? Maybe. Maybe that's how they defined their "challenges" when making the console ports. Either way I think they will have their hands full going against Killzone 3 and Uncharted. It's not obvious it's the best (looking) game on consoles until we actually see it happen.

Well, its hard to tell if its on par with the 360 version weve been seeing because weve seen a few videos and all that on 360, but just this on screen for PS3. So well have to wait for side by sides to see really how impressive it is. I gotta say it does look good for a console game.

First of all, it's not likely to be a bullshot, mainly because the low res and lack of proper AA/AF is easily noticeable, and those are and always will be the main issues with console games.

Second, the reason people aren't floored by this is because it's evidently a direct feed shot, which typically aren't over-represented when it comes to pre-release shots of console games, and for good reason.

No off-screen flaw-hiding mode, no touch-ups by developers (well, except for the missing HUD, but that is easily done away with). Could very well be real.

Thats part of it, but I'm a PC gamer with a high end rig and I'm not this much of a graphics snob :? Not all PS3 gamers are, but KZ3 has definetly made some surface

Anyways it looks decent for a console shot. And Killzone really doesn't look that much better really, if at all. I see it this way, killzone 3 will probably have better textures while crysis 2 will have better lighting. I assume from a lot of the comments here, that everything must be over the top graphics wise to be considered good. Crysis always was about the subtleties. You have to look at it in motion and really be a stickler for the little things. So if you're looking at it from that perspective than killzone will look better to you I guess.

I'm still of the belief that the "Be the weapon" trailer is representative of the console version. Almost all of SW was blown away by gameplay and graphics. That's what I expect the final product to do, once again.
