I don't like blurriness :[ To be honest I'd rather have a few jagged edges.[QUOTE="Ravensmash"]
[QUOTE="Teufelhuhn"]
Their AA is just edge blur for close-up stuff, and temporal blur for far away stuff. So yeah it's probably a big part of the bluriness.Bus-A-Bus
I dont believe you will get blurriness...doubt that Crytek would **** up IQ by doing that.Latest trailer suggest that their AA is doing great job with no blurring.
Yeah, when I'm sitting on my sofa I probably won't notice it tbh. I just hope it's a good game :][QUOTE="Hahadouken"][QUOTE="Wanderer5"]This. Lighting looks fantastic, so does detail. I am impressed. That looks great for a console game.:?

Perhaps you are mistaken, for this is the definition of irony (fret not, though, the term "irony" is frequently misused, so you are in good company!):
–noun, plural -nies.
1. the use of words to convey a meaning that is the opposite of its literal meaning: the irony of her reply, "How nice!" when I said I had to work all weekend.
2. Literature.
a. a technique of indicating, as through character or plot development, an intention or attitude opposite to that which is actually or ostensibly stated.
b. (esp. in contemporary writing) a manner of organizing a work so as to give full expression to contradictory or complementary impulses, attitudes, etc., esp. as a means of indicating detachment from a subject, theme, or emotion.
3. Socratic irony.
4. dramatic irony.
5. an outcome of events contrary to what was, or might have been, expected.
6. the incongruity of this.
7. an objectively sardonic sty|e of speech or writing.
8. an objectively or humorously sardonic utterance, disposition, quality, etc.
Please read that and expand upon your comment; calling something irony when it isn't can be rather confusing.

Don't worry about it, even the great scholar PhD Professor Alanis Morissette misused the term irony AD NAUSEAM (Google time?) in a very popular #1 hit in the 1990s (aka The Pre-Facebookozoic Era.) It's nothing to be ashamed of.

UM back on topic now please? This shot was for a dev's conference to show off Crytek's 3D. Along with that it's also a scan. Still looks impressive though

he could have spent 1500 on a gold case :P then just 500 for shoddy parts :)
Gun looks good, hand looks good, foliage is par with Crysis 1, ground is meh.
I played Crysis on medium back on my PC, so I'll be happy with Crysis 2 on PS3 :)
I hope they explain how the aliens got suits and stuff though..

Looks fantastic for a console game, but this scares me cuz if it looks this good you know the scale has been cut back considerably. Consoles just have far too outdated hardware.
I found some more information about where this picture came from. They also provided links to the original presentation slides and a video of the actual presentation if anyone's interested.

I personally think the picture looks okay, although the blur is a little odd. People are saying that it's eithera custom form of quincunx anti-aliasing or perhaps an upscaled sub-HD resolution? I hope it's not sub HD.
