may I ask, what is it that keeps you from playing PC exactly?

Idk, I don't play videogames and rely on just virtual friends.
I was the only one who even PC gamed back whenever. Friends played Battlefront 2 on PS2, I played it on PC. Now everyone has an Xbox and I finally caved and got off the MMORPG wagon and bought myself one.
anyhow, I'm probably not the person you wanted info from, being I was at least PC gaming at one point.
Sounds like you're doubting yourself, you must have used a PC before.Because I know nothing about how a PC works, a prerequisite for PC gaming.

A lot of reasons, really. And just for the record, I do use my PC for gaming on occasion.
However, why I'm not a regular PC gamer:
With that being said though, I still do LOVE to build gaming rigs, and there are the rare PC games that catch my eye such as the HL games, Stalker, Crytek's games, Command and Conquer, The Witcher, etc.
My computer is for word processing, internet, music and interaction.
My video game consoles are for video games, when Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3 come out my computer will be for games. ;)
Pretty much this. Nothing is plug and play with PC games. You always have to figure out what setting will give you the best possible result for each game you play. I used to care about PC hardware back in the day, but when you start to lose interest in it, you sorta start losing interest in PC gaming as well. Also, PC games aren't light years ahead of console games like it used to be.Because I know nothing about how a PC works, a prerequisite for PC gaming.

Not enough time to devote to two systems. I still need to make my way through games I missed in 2008.
I do plan on getting a pretty strong PC soon though. I'm pretty sure the workload for my classes is killing my poor little laptop.

Mobile HD gaming i.e. atleast 1280x720p on console ports. I also travel overseas and other locations, watch Adobe Flash animation, Video Skype, Digital camera/video's overflow storage, record conferences, MS-Excel/Word/Outlook,MS-Remote Desktop/VPN, Visual C++ programming, Unreal3 SDK, Virtualbox, Adobe Photoshop and 'etc'. About 52 watts power consumption during HD gaming i.e. lower than HD consoles.
Only thing keeping me from it is that whole messy, unpleasant "PC" component you have to keep screwing around with. No thanks.
What why? If it's too much hassle then go for it. It's not even that much more expensive.ocstew
My problems lie mainly on the software side. Installing, patching, crashing, BSOD (due to overheating, had to underclock my processor :() Plus if a certain game happens to lag or suffer from framerate drops I just have to go and fiddle with the settings (thus taking my focus off the game). On consoles I just have to accept the performance issues :P PC building can be great fun if everything goes according to plan and it certainly is cheaper.
High-end PC gaming can be very expensive. Not everyone gets to spend thousands on PC gaming. The other reason is that while Xbox games may be somewhat similar to PC games, a lot of PS3 exclusives tend to be the rather exclusive(on PC anyways) JRPG genre. Fans of that genre would therefore stick to the consoles for obvious reasons.GhoXThousands? You make it sound like a gaming rig is what,3000$ or 4000$?Anyway...
Will you be getting Starcraft2,Diablo 3,The Witcher 2,Napoleon Total War,Anno 1404,STALKER CoP and many, many others on the Xbox360?
I guess that would apply to RTS´s as well. Moreover,JRPG´s don´t really sell on the PC(like FF8 and 7),it´s clearly a console genre.
I'm a former PC gamer, I stopped PC gaming and bought a 360 because well, consoles are just flat out more fun. I prefer controllers over mouse and keyboard, I prefer TV over computer screen. I also like not having all the complications, problems, and hassles that come with PC gaming. Another thing is that none of my friends PC game and its a lot more fun to play multiplayer games with friends rather than all strangers. Also, consoles have more better games. PC doesn't get very many good exclusive games very often. 360 has everything I want+more. You can't get Tekken 6 on PC, DJ Hero, Gears of War 2, UFC, Halo 3, Fable 2, Darksiders, FFXIII. And that's all off the top of my head. And then there is all the XBLA games like Shadow Complex, Splosion Man, MvC2, Trials HD, Castle Crashers, etc. And there really isn't anything I'm currently interested in for PC. I'm on and off again playing WoW, and I was dissapointed with Sims 3 and Spore after buying them. And if I was really interested in some PC exclusive, I could just buy it because my PC is still decent but there's nothing else I'm interested in.ColdP1zzaYou can use the 360 controller on the PC. Also, you can connect your PC to your HDTV.
When playing online, youcan play with your friends as well, that´s what friends lists are for.
As for games,you can´t play Starcraft 2,Diablo 3,The Witcher,the STALKERS,Napoleon TW,etc on your Xbox.
I'm getting my new gaming PC today :D
I was waiting for Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2, but I figured if I buy a high end-ish computer now, with the prerequisites Blizzard puts on games, I'll play them on maximum no problem when they come out anyway.
And I'll play the slew of wonderful games that are coming out in the next weeks, too. (already pre-ordered BFBC2, playing the beta today!)
Edit: Besides, I'm a sucker when it comes to strategy games. Can't wait for N:TW.

Notice that I noted complications? That's because I don't want to go through the trouble of buying whatever allows me to plug my computer into my tv, finding the right one, and just finding somewhere to buy it. And many PC games aren't meant to be played with controllers and they feel awkward. Also, I said that none of my friends play PC games. I didn't say I didn't know how to contact them.
I don't like RTS games because I don't like having to manage too many things. I don't mind games like the Sims where its just 2-3 people but I don't like having to controls armies and all that. And I don't see what is so great about a 7, 8, and 8.5 (stalker). Also, the Witcher is coming out on the 360 (Rise of the white wolf) and it doesn't really stand out for me anyways. But Diablo 3 does look like it could be good.

ooo so you only care about scores and not actual gameplay... sounds to me like you like games that aren't complicated..which suits you being on consoles...look im not trying to sound *elite* I like consoles but i get what you mean.. you don't like games that make you think or have great depth.. you want games that are easy and fun from the get go..again..im not being condescending towards you.. but you are better off sticking to consoles..yea they do have some deep games like demons souls..but the majority of games is meant for a broad audience while the pc caters to everyone.. from casual games to full on simulators..[QUOTE="ColdP1zza"]

I just play some RTS Games from time to time or test a new MMORPG, last time playing on my computer was about a year ago. Not because my computers or notebooks aren't strong enough, but because I can't really get into it. i guess it's most likely because I see the computer more as a working and communication device and since I'm working all day long with those devices (studying computer science and working with computers ... and having private projects like a community page xD). Could also be because I grew up having a Master System and then a Genesis and I guess even my PS1 before we had a computer at home :S My brain might link games to consoles
I'd need to spend a hell lot of cash to buy a PC capable of doing the same things the PS3 does and with the same quality... plus, the PS3 doesn't give so much headaches with virus, spam, etc. I assume we have two options: Buy the PS3 (a complete package) or buy part by part for the PC (graphic board, sound board and surround sound system, processor, HD and RAMmemory, plus screen, keyboard and mouse if you want complete experience - like those made by Logitech, etc.) While the PS3 comes with Cell Processor (I guess it runs @3.12GHz aprox.), Blu-ray player, built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, +-160GB HD (can be upgraded), etc. all in that medium/small-size, 3Kg black thing.
Alright, a PC does more things then the PS3, but I think that if you have a PC that at least works without many problems, the PS3 is the best option. That's what I did... instead of upgrading the PC and spending more then 1500 bucks, I've spent only 1000 with the PS3. PS3 for games, PC for everything else :D
Note: I ain't against PC gamers... that's just my way of thinking.
I am a bit of a perfectionist, and most glitches or performance problems you run into while gaming on a pc can be remedied, if you're willing to put the time into troubleshooting the problem. Thus often times when playing a pc game I spend as much time fiddling with menus, settings, patches and the like as a I do actually playing the game. Therefore I choose, to play on a console, sure there are problems I can't do anything about, but it's easier to swallow performance problems if I know there is nothing I can do about it.
