i think you are overreacting, but i think there is someting people fail to understand:

In the entire 360 library only 2 games require you to change discs (blue dragon and lost odyssey) both are JRPGs both are created by the same dev

in the entire PS3 library im going to say that at least 15 games require you to install games on you hardrive all of them are different genres and all of them from different devs

I would rather switch disk (and not have anything happen to my HDD) then have to mandatory install a game and have it kill my HDD. Cow's think switching disk is some sort of bad thing but yet faile to realise they have been doing it since the ps1 era :lol:

that so far the disc swaping method has been used so that if you do need to swap the disc again it won´t be untill after at least 10+ hours of gameplay?

you tell me. What did the install in GTA do ? less pop-up? they may due to the fact that the game runs on a lower resolution with no AA st1ka

That's debatable i seen something on kotaku 3 or 4 months before gta came out saying that rockstar restricted by the fact that the 360 had no hdd

not exactly, going back to GT 2 the game had 2 discs, one for the arcade the other for the carrer mode, if this rumour is true i foresee something similar to that

yes it is debatable, but all a 4-5 gig instalation did on the PS3 was less pop in (note: less, it didnt eliminate it) is that really worth 4-5 gigs of your hardrive?

I could also say "mandatory installs that kills 3-6 GB of your hard drive shouldn't be needed, it is outdated technology", but the pS3 has around 15 games with mandatory installs. So stop speaking of technology, you just sound ridiculous.

GT5P had some of the best car models and lighting iv ever seen in a game I'm not saying it will be better then forza 3 but hands down better graphically then forza 2

It brings benefits.PS3 has a slower HDD and a slower BR drive that's why it takes so much time to install and also why it doesnt significantly reduce load times as it does with PC.Another advantage of installing is to be able to play the game without actually inserting the disc,something again the PS3 doesnt do.

actually its the first time i brought the PS1 in to this conversation and what you said made no sense, i am not comparing the 360 to the PS1 i am stating how disc swaping works

There is some website that checks how much data is on a disk ( cant remember the name of it try google it) i used my own copy of gears and it said some thing like 7.8Gb which is pretty much the whole disk concidering they have to leave 1gb idol for some reasonmicky4889

dont know about that website.

So far i have seen no reason to get alarmed over this "disc swaping histerya"
