Does anyone else think the first person cockpit view looks way too up close? It dosen't look or feel like I am driving a car with that view.

Che the community manager has confirmed that they have moved it back for all 400 + cars.
here is the new position
Still too close up. I want to see more tracks and damage.

That camera position is perfect. It doesn't look like that when I drive, I am pretty sure I can see more than just the top of my hands and more than half the steering wheel.
So what is the point of damage if you can just undo it anyways? All it does is make a more realistic crash...PS2_ROCKS

Guess you sit right back then.I'm not going to lie. I like the driver assists. lol One of the main complaints I have about SIM racers is that they're hard for someone like me to casually jump in and play. I'm more interested in playing this with a wheel now too. mythrolGuess turn 10s plan to appeal to a bigger audience is working then.

I never noticed anything like that. I'm still interested in seeing how it works out. The cockpit views are really nice, but not the most functional due to viewing area. Also it's sort of weird if you have an actual wheel infront of you, then another wheel on the screen[QUOTE="15strong"]

Currently trying to figure out the difference between the v.1 and v.2 wireless wheels Microsoft offers (v.1 of course being cheaper).

The damage is by far better than GT's and I'm pretty sure this is a fact especially sinc enot all of GT's cars have damage, but the cosmetics of GT5's damage is by far superior to Forza 3's... You must be blind not too see it, but which one do I prefer? Forza's because I'd rather decent damage models on every car than 200 excellent damage models on 1/5 the cars... I seriously have no idea what GT was doing. they should've released a game with 1000 cars and no damage and a year later put damage on every car and released it as a patch or just wait 1 more year and release a complete game... WTF is PD thinking? Either way both are a must buy for me.

Wow, after watching this. I can't wait for GT5.
aero250 There is a reason no one takes you serious anymore.
Go easy on him, he's only 16 :P AND he's a proud cow....so its expected :P:lol:
Have you watched the GT5 trailer (an early code of the final game)
Gran Turismo 5 > Forza 3
;)
If i can i will buy a PS3 slim sometime to try out GT5 when it eventually releases but Forza for me is the better series. The damage is by far better than GT's and I'm pretty sure this is a fact especially sinc enot all of GT's cars have damage, but the cosmetics of GT5's damage is by far superior to Forza 3's... I'm not that great at sim racer gameplay, but I never play with assist and I manage to do just fine on GT5p and Forza 2. I honestly don't see much of a difference between the 2 in terms of gameplay. They are both very similar, but different enough tot ell a difference, but not big enough that a person good in Forza will suck in GT5. If you own in one you will own in the other. It's really that simple.
I'm pretty sure it'll be available on all settings.will the rewind button be an optional assist? Can you turn it off in the difficulty assist?

Did you watch the video? The damage was CLEARLY set on cosmetic.............meaning the car will only sustain scratches and scrapes. Forza 3 does have full simulation damage like in GT5 where bumpers fly off, windows break, and it can actually effect your driving. This was also in Forza 2. Why dont you try WATCHING the video so you dont embarass yourself further :|[...] but the cosmetics of GT5's damage is by far superior to Forza 3's... Changing the settings won't make more things fly off, they'll just make the damage affect performance. From what I've seen, GT5's cosmetic damage is much more notable than Forza 3's.
