You do.
Definitely not. People have created programs that you can use with your webcam to create an input using objects and your hands many years ago. I do find it funny that the movements and the actions are 100% reversed, or opposite, of each other. I can only imagine that this is due to a mix up when overlaying the two videos, one got mirrored or something.
It also looks like you have less control over your vehicle than a standard bumper car at the fair, at least there you have a "go" pedal. Still, should be fun for small children who still think they are "driving" the car when they sit in Daddy's lap and have their hands on the wheel.
wheres the gas pedal :P... or is it done for you ?lbjkurono23
He uses his feet. The Kinect can scan yout feet as well and from the positioning, know when you are breaking and using the gas. How do you think Joy Ride works? You haven't seen the demonstration for that game? lol!!
*************************************************************
Oh dear oh dear. The game controls gas and break for you, w'hay! To be honest I would rather have a steering wheel with pedals and force feedback.
_Matt_
We'll see. It's only demo mind you. If Forza 4 is going to support KINECT it'll definitely scan your feet as well. I just laugh at the haters. Not everyone will play this game using Kinect. It's just an option. You think everyone will play Killzone 3 with MOVE and 3D? lol!! No.
Very nice video, FM4 looks to be even better than 3, especially graphically. Did I see god rays, too? and maybe some specular lighting? Cool stuff, but why did you mention Move? Was this thread of cool FM4 info just to bash something else? That's not cool, man. :(
EDIT: Oops, just realized the game controls the gas and brake for you. That scares me. I wouldn't want some smart car controlling how fast I go, especially if my car is having a bad day... whatever. Anyway, I thought it was awesome because I thought the Kinect thing was an option like Move is. Crap.
why is u not knowing how to accelerate and break funny...lol? i don't get it...is ur ignorance really that bliss? obviously he's breaking and accelerating...we just don't know how its done yet. we'll find out when the game is out.Forza 4? How was he breaking and accelerating? The IGN E3 article states that it is all done automatically. You simply pas as many cars as possible.
"You don't worry about braking or acceleration--which is handled admirably by the game for you--just steering."
I can't find any other preview articles for the controls.
There will be racing games that will support gas and break. You cows of course know this; but just want to pretend like it doesn't exist....

Looks accurate to me, and showcases the possibilities for KINECT. PS Move on the other hand we've seen already. It's called the Wii.
It looks pretty accurate yes, but I cant imagine many people willing to play a game like that. I cant imagine playing something like this for more than half an hour really. And wheres gas and breaks? The game does half of the driving for you? Not very impressive to be honest. Kinect doesnt have much possibilities as there are no buttons nor analog stick. You cant really do much without those. The only thing that was cool about that was the head tracking I guess. I'd rather use a steering wheel. AAllxxjjnnguys you do realize its just an add on feature right? its a mini game. you know extras. the walk around the car feature is great and the ead tracking is awesome. put that with a steering wheel and a host of unnanounced features and you'll get an awesom sim. yeah I'm pretty sure it was on rails (positive actually) it'd be fun for friends and for short burst alone. other than that there is no reason to hate.
Don't see why they can't have these controls a) Double closed fist = accelerate b) Right fist closed, left hand open = brake c) Left closed, right open = e-brake d) Both open = Reverse Doesn't seem that hard since it can track your fingers. Doesn't really add any difficulty eitherYa, no gas or break sounds like fun....

Did anybody deny there would be games where you can press the gas and break? Could you show me?
From what i've seen, and from what i've stated, Forza Kinect does not use either and the game does it automatically.
[QUOTE="nervmeister"]Forza 4?..................:lol:kuraimenIt's actually more like Forza 2.7 while Forza 3 was actually Forza 2.5. Please refer to Polyphony Digital for tips on how to make a proper sequel. Please refer to the forza 3 page to see the 9.5/10 :P This isn't even Forza 4
that is literally the most stupid thing i have ever seen, who going to buy a 150 camera so u can protect to turn a steering wheel,
Auto gas, brake, transmission, insane lag and ... it looks like they still haven't written a demo where the user can actually sit in a chair and play.
Unbelievable that this is coming from an add-on that costs $150.
Agreed. MS's new casual approach is worrying.I hope Kinect is an epic fail so MS pull their thumb out and go back to satisfying their hardcore demographic.

Now that's EPIC! I now know what Microsoft should have for their opening video at next years E3.
When MS demoed the game on Jimmy Fallon they were stepping forward to press the gas and stepping back to brake. I wonder what happened to those controls. And people complain about the lag? Have any of you played Wii games? C'mon man.

Lol... Like what? The fact that you cannot control the gas or breaks? The fact you can't shift gears? This only shows the limitations of Kinect due to the lack of buttons.
contrary to what lots of lemmings say, you need buttons for a decent gaming experience.
