Alright, I'm callin' it. This will most likely be the Gears equivalent of ODST. In other words, a new campaign with dlc for Gears 3 multiplayer tacked on.
[QUOTE="White_Dreams"][QUOTE="MFDOOM1983"]You're not very good at this whole debate thing. Raam's Shadow is categorized as a add-on for gears 3 by MS while sony categorizes QFB as a psn game completely separate from tools of destruction and crack in time. You will not find QFB in the add-on section as dlc for any ratchat game because it is a complete game by itself. Price of the products are irrelevant and just because they are priced the same does not mean they're the same thing. Do you see how idiotic such a claim is?MFDOOM1983
Not really, I know how they are classified as, they are still new standalone releases reguardless of how they are categorized.
Standalone release would imply that one could play raam's shadow without the gears of war 3 disc in their disk tray. Unless you're making up your own definition. Was it ever distributed as a separate game? So even though they are the same price and have the same stanalone singple player the only thing disqualifying Raam shadow is a Gears 3 disc? Well I don't agree with that logic.Standalone release would imply that one could play raam's shadow without the gears of war 3 disc in their disk tray. Unless you're making up your own definition. Sony and Insomniac categorizes QFB as a standalone game vs. MS and Epic categorizes Raam's shadow as dlc
Insomniac considers it the 2nd part in the future trilogy vs. RS is just a small glimpse into events prior to the events of gears 3
You don't need any other game to play it. I.e. standalone vs. The player needs another game(gears 3) to play RS
You NEED Gears in order to use Raam's Shadow. If you purchase it without, then you cannot even load it up. I know that, doesn't change much though. Yes it does, it changes everything. Quest for Booty is it's own individual game. Raam's Shadow is a non-standalone expansion which requires the user to have the original title.[QUOTE="Ravensmash"][QUOTE="White_Dreams"]So even though they are the same price and have the same stanalone singple player the only thing disqualifying Raam shadow is a Gears 3 disc? You're just repeating what you said before and I still don't agree, if someone is talking about releases the way Vashkey was talking about, I don't think needing the game to play changes anything.[QUOTE="Ravensmash"] You NEED Gears in order to use Raam's Shadow. Actually he posted game releases in each franchise. QFB is a game release separate from every other R&C game while Raam's Shadow is not.[QUOTE="Ravensmash"][QUOTE="White_Dreams"] You're just repeating what you said before and I still don't agree, if someone is talking about releases the way Vashkey was talking about, I don't think needing the game to play changes anything.

[QUOTE="vashkey"]Seventh Ratchet and Clank of the gen is announced, cows see nothing wrong with this. Fourth Gears is announced, it's shameful milkage from Microsoft.White_DreamsYou're kind of showing your bias here, since you list dlc for racthet as games but not for Gears. Raam's Shadow is DLC and QFB is a game.

Digitally distributed game =/= DLC Some consolites seem to always struggle with the term DLC. DLC is a add-on providing additional content for an existing game. If you have a ps3 I suggest you take a look where QFB is(psn GAMES) and where it is not(Add-ons for games).MFDOOM1983But like I said before I know how they are categorized.
But like I said before I know how they are categorized.Lol, I guess you'd rather remain ignorant than "lose" an argument.[QUOTE="MFDOOM1983"]Digitally distributed game =/= DLC Some consolites seem to always struggle with the term DLC. I'm not trying to win, I've already explained my position on the impact needing the game to download stand alone DLC makes. We just don't see eye to eye on it.[QUOTE="MFDOOM1983"]Digitally distributed game =/= DLC Some consolites seem to always struggle with the term DLC. Not interested, Gears got boring and repetitive after the first game. Horde mode was pretty fun in 3, but aside from that there wasnt much in the game that I enjoyed.

Lol, We just don't see eye to eye on it? Our opinion on this matter is irrelevant. Sony and Insomniac both say QFB is a game, not dlc. Which means that 7 Ratchat and Clank games have been released or announced this gen. Your original argument was that QFB was dlc. Now either agree with this or provide a rebuttal that proves otherwise. You not agreeing or saying digital distributed games are dlc is not a valid answer.

Yes, I agree, 7 ratchet games have been released or announced if you want to count secret agent clank, no problems there, I just found it hypocritical to include dlc standalone games and handheld games for one and not include dlc for the other. That was the original argument.
