Seriously something is just wrong with you if you actually believe that. 360 is just nowhere near being the best console for its time.... especially considering PS3 has prettymuch caught up and will be surpassing it soon.

It definately has great games. I'm not sure if they are quite "greatest game selection of all time great", but they are certainly impressive. Hardware and cost is another matter entirely though.

It is easily the best console I've owned.

Easily.

It provides perhaps the single greatest gaming experience ever. It's simply how it was designed around "the social" that makes it work. Without LIVE, it doesn't make my top 5. With LIVE (brilliantly designed as it is), it's my #1 in terms of pure gaming expeirence.

But if we go by some criteria other than pure gaming experience, the 360 is not on the top of my list.

The technical problems blow, however. And the PS3 could supplant the 360 on my list if it's PSN offering tightens up.

The LIVE experience makes average games better. It makes you want to game. It makes you want to be social while gaming. It's a cultural thing, perhaps. Or perhaps it's because I'm a social guy (I was once President of the 3 largest student orgs at my University).

But to me...it brings everything to a gaming experience I'd want (other than hardware longevity). It just gets so many things right.

The SP experiences ain't bad either and despite all the crap thrown at achievements I consider them a MAJOR plus that have completely changed the way I approach my games FOR THE BETTER. I get much more value out of them.

You're right, he'd get torn to shreds by pure logic with not only credible review scores, but overall sales and quality of consoles.

He's comparing a system with NO AAAA's, not even 3 YEARS out, to systems that have actually proven themselves with one of the consoles having the highest rated game of all time. Not to mention a system that's introduced the most famous video game character of all time, with the best selling game of all time, and SAVED the console industry.

If a majority of people agreed that vanilla icecream was the best flavor ever, should the people that like chocolate feel "stupid" or "wrong"? It's not an objective conversation because it's not an objective issue.

Star Wars IV is perhaps the single highest-grossing movies of all time. Does that mean I'm "stupid" if I say I prefer Edward Scissorhands or Coming to America or The Godfather or Lord of The Rings?
