I played WoW all summer about 2 years ago, mainly because I moved across the country and knew nobody, and with nobody my age around I just sat around the house playing WoW waiting for september to roll around so I could meet people...So WoW for that summer probably.
Oh man, City of Heroes pwned my soul in 2004 and most of 2005. I couldnt get away from that game at all no matter how i hard i tried.
It was my first MMO and i casually got back into it 3 months ago with my girlfriend caus of all the additions and wow still a fun game but i dont have the time to dedicate to a game like that again.
WoW, RuneScape(when I was a wee lad), Oblivion, Guitar Hero, Halo, Super Smash Bros, any Final Fantasy, any Pokemon game, these games tend to destroy my free time, I always come/came back to them and have AT LEAST over 200 hours put into all of them.
none, I rather to go out with my friends than staying at home playing games. (: But the only game that I played like everyday even if it was just 10-20 minutes was Resident Evil 4.
when golden sun came out in gba, i took my gba everywhere and played anytime i got the chance, i don't think it destroyed my social life though. oh yeah, i played golden sun 2 non-stop also
Any MMO I played for more then the first free month. Other then that most do not. But work does. I do not hate my job but I have been working on my PC since around 9am today. It is now almost 9pm.
i dont have on to be destroyed. i go to church , karate, and school.and slip some rpg game time into it.blitzkid1

I think it would be fair to say that Counter Strike stole a good chunk of my life in 99-00. My town had a local gaming pub (gamers lan'd rip) which held regional tournaments. To be fair, I did play with a close knit group of friends. We spent most of our free time playing CS on their uber-fast (at the time) connection or competing on the LAN. For better or worse, the gaming pub shut down in 01. Other then that, I played a lot of LOTRO for a month. I probably logged 100 hours that month. Again, I was playing with a group of friends. It was pretty fun to have 4 people in the same room playing together.
Other then that, I usually game when I have free time. Right now it's mostly TF2 and PSN games like PJ Monsters.
CS to a degree, me and my friends went to a lan center my friend owned so not so much. But the big daddy of life destroyers was WOW, good thing I already had a gf before the addiction.
I could have not said it ANY better. Same thing for me man. Socom was an addiction, literally. I had about 3 different player names, each with well over 300 - 400 hours. SOCOM II took over my social life. There were times where I actually played well over 12 hours straight, no breaks.
i'm not as addicted to games as i use to be. i tend or should say try to put friends and family first these days compare to games, but i will admit i been late here and there due to playing like a round of halo 3 or other mp games online.
My social life was destroyed 4 years ago. Reason has nothing to do with games though, even though it's a influence that keeps me going everyday otherwise I wouldn't be here...
Diablo 2 and World of Warcraft. Omg both games took over my life. Diabllo 2 more just because i played that game for a couple of years. I stopped playing After i got banned from Bnet for using maphack roflmao. World of Warcraft took over my life my junior year in high school for a couple of months
