Gamespot gives Mercs 2 a 5/10...

You're passing up a game because a person who normally reviews sports games (and is quite possibly the one who receives the most skepticism) gave it a low score? Try reading other reviews or the player reviews, but don't let one single review determine whether you will ever play a game or not. That's just silly.

Also, in general I find reviews that are in the 7's to be bad, if its in the low 8's it has a shot to be a good game but odds are its not the best of the best, high 8's you can usually count on this to be a good game, 9's and above shouldn't have to worry but GTA4 definitely didnt' deserve the scores it got.

Its possible that I could enjoy the game but I don't believe that there is a demo for it and I don't feell like paying to rent this game just to play it. I will do that for some other games getting ready to come out. Also, I've been playing games for several years and I can't count on all my fingers how many games have gotten a score of say 5 or around that.....that I have ended up liking and feeling like I got my money's worth. There maybe one game or two at most.

Speaking of unpolished, No More Heroes recieved a 9, and while I loved that game, it was still very unpolished, and the gameplay was repetitive as all heck.

While I agree with that, at least it was fresh and original and loads of fun to play. Sometimes it got frustrating, but I love it and it is probably one of the best Wii games that came out this year in my opinion.

Dang i rented the game 5 is waaaaaaaaay to low the critic averege is 7.5 look at Aaron's scores though there to low in the first place but 5.0 stinks even by his standards. He must have got a bad copy or something i haven't had a glitches like he says there are. I've had a few minor ones but the way he's making them sound is ridclous.
here are some quotes that just arn't true or just suck at all at least with my copy
"if your injured you can just get behind a building"- Can you like not do that in call of duty
"Helicoptors will vanish while your in them"- I have no idea what Aaron is talking about in that quote
" Turrets will float in mid air" once again i have no idea what he's talking about never happened to me
" The allies will shoot at your for no reason" this is the stupidst quote i've ever heard if your disguised as a someone from a hostile faction they'll shoot at you because they don't know who it is and if he knew that then it never happened to me
"your helicoptor pilot might not show up" Never happened to me and if it did happen to him it's because his helicoptor was shot down
"or they'll (the helicoptor pilot), will drop your cargo where you can't get it"- This is probably because just like in real life they don't drop it in the perfect spot.
"you might be unlucky enough to have the game crash on the load screen"- Never happened to me, and if it happened to him he got a bad copy
"You'll die when you have health left"- Never happened to me
"You might lose progress do to the game save failing"- Never happened to me.
Overall i want him to get a new copy and re review it.

Then why are you trying to talk down to those who have actually played it? Player reviews show that gamers like it. They acknowlege that it's not perfect, and it has its fair share of flaws, but the positives outweigh the negatives in their mind.
