GameSpot: We got CoD in our Halo! ah oh!

Yet another game tries to be similar to the King of FPS's that is Call of Duty, according to 343 the developers of the upcoming xbox360 Exclusive Halo 4 mentioned that the multiplayer in Halo 4 was influenced by Call of Duty/ to have similar aspects to CoD.

343 dev: "Halo 4's new loadout system gets compared to other FPS games, including Call of Duty. And definitely, in terms of how much effect the progression system has on your player, that's a reasonable sort of comparison," O'Connor said.

O'Connor also mentioned that he's quite a fan of games like Call of Duty: Black Ops but says that Halo 4 will be more about survival encounters rather than just winning.

Halo 4 will release this November 1 week before Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 so this will be really interesting on which game will do well on xbox

Black Ops 2 360 version will sell the most. Halo 4 will outsell the Black Ops 2 PS3 version. PS3 still has no games this year.JohnnyCageMK

Not at all, if you want to talk about sales the PS3 version of Black Ops 2 will outsell Halo 4 in a matter of hours, this is CoD so never underestimate the power of CoD ( MW3 already over 10mil on PS3 alone ) but i find it really funny that instead of defending ur Halo you just talk about sales.. lawl lems never change.

I suppose if there was one thing that was eventually going to bring Halo down to Call of Duty's level so that it could be enjoyed by the unwashed, uneducated masses, it would be the developers.

And yet the only thing the Halo has "copied" from COD that actually makes Halo better is the ability to run. Adding custom loadouts does nothing to enhance the game. In fact it hurts Halo imo. The cool thing about Halo is that everyone is on the exact same playing field at the start of a match. Halo 4 would be better off if the only things you unlocked through levelling were cosmetic. With that said Halo 4 will be ten times better than COD regardless. They don't seem to have CODified the game TOO much.

Proof MW3 sold that much on PS3? Cause last I heard MW3 were down from MW2 and Blops.

Here's the thing tho...in case u didnt notice..CoD was always similar to halo, they just changed the name of the games... aka team slayer=team deathmatch and tbh slayer sounds alot cooler :P but honestly all fps copy eachother...counterstrike feels alot like CoD to me as well, then u have SOCOM, Medal of Honor, Battlefield its all the same crap just different lengths of time and fewer gameplay modes for some titles than others :P one thing that causes CoD to kick ass...is Nazi Zombies thats about as original as it gets...unless u count infection which is pretty insane itself and existed before call of duty's infected mode (both are totally different games with similar names) :) and is alot more fun too ^_^

Doubtful. Treyarch and IW have far more experience with balancing out killstreaks and loadouts. Say what you will about CoD but these are the guys who pretty much invented these mechanics. Nobody else is better at them.

Thread FAIL alert! CoD copied the two weapon system, most the button layout of Halo and then copied the health system of Halo 2.

Call of Duty is one of the biggest and best games ever, of course it influences other FPS games! That's like a developer of a platformer being influenced by Mario, a JRPG developer being influenced by Final Fantasy, or a fighting game developer being influenced by Street Fighter... it's like, DUH!!!locopatho

Couldnt agree more, actually in my opinion the more games being influeced by CoD the better they get, CoD is fast/action packed/fun and addictive so the more games trying to copy it/be similar to it the better.

The Beta for Halo 4 felt very smilar to CoD but not completely similar at the same time, only issue i had with it is it was very slow.. FPS's in general need to be fast but anyways actually news like this always a good thing in learning from who's leading.

im sure Halo 4 will be fun for the fans but not too sure for the hardcore fans.

Actually he's right, the ONLY broken CoD game to ever release would be MW2 and thats only one game, the games after MW2 fixed everything from MW2 plus the games got more balanced ( so far the only issue left in CoD is spawn trapping which isnt that big of a deal because you can only spawn trap in specific modes and only with a full team that know how to do it ).

if Y person cant do well in Black Ops/MW3 aka the games that came out after MW2 then this Y person must really suck.
