Gizmodo - "PlayStation Move Isn't Much More than a Wii HD"

Read the article, I still may get it, I mean yeah, that was all I was expecting from it. A Wii in HD, Kinect on the other hand... I'm still more skeptical about it.

Gizmodo is generally skeptical and cynical of anything sony. They bashed the sony x-series mp3 player and praised the zune HD. I bought the zune HD and now I'm wishing I had bought the x-series.

Execpt it plays sonys games in HD.

That's pretty understandable since the concept is pretty much the same actually exactly the same. Have a controller in your hand, move it around, and control the game on screen with motion.

seeing almost all the complaints of the wii being about the graphics, that isn't too bad...

Hey they're showing the stage demo for Sports Champion with the Move right now on GS. And they're using two Move controllers in the games. The Sports Motion bundle only comes with one Move controller, what the?

Well... duh.

From the software shown so is Kinect basically without the need to hold anything, except probably less accurate than motion+, and without buttons, and seemingly incompatible with good games.

Duck Hunt on PS3 confirmed. Maybe Sony can make some fake Kratos Swords for us on the next GOW.

I agree and disagree. Even with the Motion+ add on, the wiimote still isn't perfect 1-1 motion because any time the wiimote isn't pointing directly at the sensor bar you are relying entirely on the internal components. So while it works MUCH better with WM+, I've still noticed some issues when I'm playing my Wii Sports Resort.

On the other hand, the combination of the eye toy and Playstation move controller is much more accurate than the Wii setup as far as I've been able to tell.

Having said that, I bought the Wii for some fun motion control games and I bought the PS3 for more serious games. I won't be buying Move at all.

Well so what? That is what it is advertised, that is what it was. And that is what it always will be. A motion based controller for HD consoles. We already knew this. I don't understand th big deal. If you liked the wii-motio+ and liked the aiming tat is exactly what move is doing for HD games. Is this a bad thing?

Accuracy has nothing to do with it. The fact that is supports games like Socom, Killzone 3, LBP2 and many other core games is proof that its more then a wii HD. If you want to see a wii HD go take a look at Kinects line up at the end of Microsofts kinect demonstration, casual and fitness games galore.
