Damn, I knew lems were suicidal after Sea of Piss flopped but I didn’t know that GOW would make them get this upset. I expected GOW to score a 92 on MC and I was totally surprised when it got a 95. I guess lems were surprised too by its scores but instead of the happiness that I’m feeling, GOW’s scores has lems contemplating suicide even more lol.

Day 1 xbox owners having meltdowns on youtube are trading in their xbox one X's for PS4 Pro's and standard PS4s.

Very tempted to find a cheap PS4 somewhere to play this, looks pretty damn good.

Prediction: PS4 sales will take April NPD by a wide margin and God of War 4 will be the number 1 sold game.

@netracing: If you can, get a Pro on the cheap. The visuals in this game make me worry about how it will perform on vanilla PS4, which makes up the bulk of current PS4s out there.

To me, it makes a bigger difference in VR or on an HDR 4k screen. If you have a 1080p TV, the vanilla PS4 will be adequate.

Amazon just shipped my copy. Looks like I'll be playing pretty soon. Looking forward to it.

@Bread_or_Decide: I might switch to their gamers club. Amazon has been having issues with allowing the preorder of some games. I still can't preorder Red Dead Redemption 2. It's been listed for as unavailable for months.

Could be the best selling first party game on ps4. Which will be a reverse of fortune that it's GOW and not Gran Turismo or a ND game I believe.

? This is the second lem that's had a meltdown and gotten banned as a result of me. I was the reason why NyaDC had a meltdown and got banned and this Trinitarian dude also got a meltdown as a result of me.

Ditto. Anyone who understands PC hardware could see this from a mile away and already can see through MS smokescreen 4K and there was no way the hardware was gonna deliver true 4K. I'm sorry, but if you want true 4K, your gonna need a high-end PC to do so.

I think it'll be only by 2020 that the majority of people will have a 4K TV, that's why Sony is waiting until then to launch the ps5.

from the gameplay i've watched today, the game seems to have a Darksiders vibe but with better production values and more refined combat. that is a very good thing

After 5 years in the market , PS4 .. a 95 exclusive AAA game. Who did that the last 3 generations aside PS1/PS2 and PS3 i wonder.For sure not Xbox, Wii and Wii U, Gamecube and N64. Im not sure about X360.

And we having another monster coming , TLOU 2. And everything else that we dont really know if theyll end up 90+ like Death strading, Days gone and more. 5 years old console they say, is old.

Watched some twitch steams for awhile and it looks pretty good. Not sure where this "movie game" BS came from as it couldn't be further from a walking simulator. Only downsides I could notice were the frame rate fluctuations but weren't immersion breaking. Looks to be a winner.

just left my bestbuy down the street here in san diego.... all sold out of the limited editions and no more pre orders. there were atleast 26 stone mason and limited editions on the shelf behind customer service......wow

What surprises me is that he doubted himself about this game wouldn't be all that successful as the previous iterations. He even thought it was a crazy idea.

Man, this game is something else. Started playing my copy at midnight and it's probably gonna end up being my game of the gen. Kratos' character model might just be the most detailed I've ever seen in a game. ?Dat beard!

Well technically no one is as true 4k is the DCI 4k standard which is 4096 × 2160 pixels.......... The 4 in 4096 is where 4k get's name from.

So the 3840 × 2160 resolution our consoles render at is not actually real 4k......

First let me just say the visual are on par with Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice which is funny, since there both Norse games and which is good, because I really like Hellblade game but moving on, it's nowhere stunning as Horizon: Zero Dawn but God of War 4 still looks amazing. I found Atreus (Son of Kratos) actually pretty useful in this game. He grows on to you as you play the game, he adds another dimension to the game play and another dimension to the story with his personality.

Now about the combat, 8/10, it's fun but there are small annoyances like the camera, and auto tracking/focus but as I adapt to the combat gameplay, I actually like the new combat gameplay cause after replaying GoW3 Remastered, the combat was indeed dated and this new one was a nice change for once in the series.

• It's loud and satisfying
• Switching between melee and armed combat is fun
• There is no "out of sight - out of fight" here. You constantly have to watch your back (literally).
• Atreus is useful
• Parry is satisfying and even demanded by the game mechanics
• Movesets are very limited at the beginning

It’s not bad by any means, and throwing the Axe makes up for the simplicity of the melee combat. Little annoyed at constantly getting snuck from behind in packs, but Axe throw, plus using the kid in tough battles does mix it up a bit. Fingers crossed that cool moves/weapons/variation get unlocked later. I'll try to return later as I progress the game further on and so far, I give this refresh God of War game a 8/10 for now and until I have completed the game, I'll pass out my final score of the game.
