Spec III just came out and the car models look amazing.
No other racing game can even come close.

And I have noticed a major update in the physics engine:
Just some quick first impressions:
1. Cars feel a bit more connected to the road. Even less of the driving on ice feeling now. Takes a bit more provoking to get it sideways, but once your there it feels like its for a reason.
2. No more creep across the pavement! Drive onto the banking at daytona and apply the brakes. The car plants itself......finally.
3. Could be my imagination, but it feels as though low speed physics have slightly improved.
4. Turn off abs. At daytona where you first come back onto the banking after the infield section apply heavy braking without locking up. The tires sound like they're skipping along the bumps in that section now. Never noticed that before.
Thats from about 30mins. driving.
Conclusion: Yes.....something is different:D
That car model has a ton, and I mean a ton, of jaggies.:oBioShockOwnz
Yeah it does. I hope they eliminate them when GT5finally comes out.
low speed physics were the first thing i noticed, it still odd at times but it better now.And I have noticed a major update in the physics engine:

These screens are terrible, there are so many jaggies.lantus
That's actually unusual in today's market. Almost all games have jaggies to some extent, but very few have them in official screenshots.
Get with the program Polyphony, in this day and age, we've come to expect bullshots.

Yeah. I noticed right away that the physics are more realistic.

lol! Gosh! You guys always complain about me posting bullshots!
You should be happy that I poseted direct feed screens this time!! lol

I was trying to be sarcastic. ;)
I'm glad to finally see a set of screenshots that haven't been touched up to remove all jaggies beforehand. (I'm looking at you Gears, RE5, and every other game for that matter)

I never notice any jaggies when I play the game :?Hey, me too!
But this is what GT5 would look like if you played it on a PC.
The jaggies are more noticable on a computer monitor!

Because Forza 2(the best racer on the 360) looks sooooo much better.
Has this car been wrecked or is it suppose to look like that? :?
Yeah this looks better (even with the jaggies!):
The game looks extremly epic on my 46" Xbr,
I haven't played the spec 3 yet,
But I hope the physics have improved, they drive me crazy, especially the gas inputs, theres something really wrong with the way the rpms climb and drop, otherwise everything is shaped up pretty good for a demo. the game better be damn good, It's the only game I plan buying for the ps3 for along time.

is it worth buying a wheel for yet?I have a G25 and it's great.
I would get one anyway to get ready for the full version.
[QUOTE="Burning_Sun"]i hope in the next update they add some more courses...i would actually pay for them if i have to..i would die for Tokyo Route 246 (i'm GOD on that course), i want that more then crash damage.Rikusaki
Nurburgring! Spec IV update must have Nurburgring!
i think they will save that for the full game.[QUOTE="Burning_Sun"]i hope in the next update they add some more courses...i would actually pay for them if i have to..i would die for Tokyo Route 246 (i'm GOD on that course), i want that more then crash damage.Rikusaki

Yea, I wanna see how close a GTR could get to the sauppossed 7:26 lap time nissan lied about in this game on the ring.

[QUOTE="stiltzsy"]Environments suck:
-Renegade
Because everyone stops and admires the scenery while racing in races at over 200 mph!
Exactly.
I would rather have better car models than good environments. You can barely see the details in the environment when you are trying to concentrate on the race.
[QUOTE="Rikusaki"][QUOTE="EPaul"]I hope the game gets the new Skyline GTR 2009 that car is so sexy......EPaul
There is a 99.99% chance that it will.
Kazunori said that if there was no GT-R, then Gran Turismo probably wouldn't exist.
Thats good to Hear
lol Yeah. The GT-R is on the box art of the game for crying out loud!! lol!

No its because the car models would suffer if they used 3d enviros. Photo mode of a game that does not have to worry about crash modeling and physics. By the way why have your sales threads stopped?[QUOTE="EPaul"][QUOTE="Rikusaki"][QUOTE="EPaul"]I hope the game gets the new Skyline GTR 2009 that car is so sexy......Rikusaki

Kazunori is in love with the GT-R.
